Makes sense, but I can't find any corroboration for this? Any source material you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

We've been using Tyrolia RailFlex PRD (now PRW) demos for most frontside skis, Attack2 13 AT Demo for more freeride-oriented skis with great results. Railflex plates are available separately by the box of 4 pairs each real cheap from Head/Tyrolia, you you can buy a bunch of plates and mount to a bunch of skis with only a couple pairs of actual bindings to swap among those pairs in current rotation... (cheapskate move...yes). The Attack 2 AT Demos stand a little high with the GW feature...but their widebody footprint works nicely on wider skis.
