Agreed. Watched the whole thing last night (so much better without the zillion commercials). I thought the most of the show was pretty good. The opening skit was a little disjointed and weak. I didn't know who Nate Bargatze was, but thought he was great.

I think I laughed harder the second time I watched it. Great skit.

We've watched it a couple times too - great skit. Even had the teenagers watch. I was just disappointed that we didn't get another Foo FIGHTers from Christopher Walken.

    SNL

    That skit was so funny.
Then on sunday we were listening to podcast that referenced fathoms and my husband asked me if I knew how long a fathom was and I was able to respond “Nobody knows!”

Nate Bargatze has some pretty good standup out there. I've seen 2-3 of his specials on Netflix. I think he's awesome.

Bowen Yang's George Santos Candle in the Wind cold open was dead on perfect.

Ya when Kennan called in to the show that was what sealed it.. Still think Baldwin's version was funnier, especially the one with Betty White.

Overall pretty lame, but the chocolate Santa was funny. I felt like an old pervert ogling Olivia Rodrigo, but damn.

I gotta admit I’m a fan. And it is not just because she’s attractive, because there are plenty of attractive pop stars that I don’t give 2 shits about.

I first heard about her a couple years ago when SNL did that sketch about her drivers license song and I assumed I would have no interest, but she’s grown on me. I’m never gonna sit down and play an Olivia Rodrigo album, but I don’t change the station when she comes on the radio.

She’s very talented, but I think it is the range of stuff she is willing to record that excites me (not a thematic range though…does she have any songs that aren’t about breakups?). She jumps between slow and heartfelt to pop punk covers of Paramore songs.

The SNL performance was a good example of that. First song was a solo piano ballad. Second song has live electric guitars and a wild and weird choreographed sketch. Might be the first musical guest I’ve seen this season I wasn’t tempted to fast forward.

Chocolate Santa was just Schweddy Balls done differently. I mean, it's funny but entirely unoriginal.

I thought it was funnier due to the visual of the chocolate Santa. Schweddy balls was mostly verbal innuendo but hilarious too. When they zoomed in on Adam stroking the shaft I dam near lost it.

Since I dealt with obnoxious allergies since mid-December that ended up going back to back with an annoying run of the mill cold I'm getting through, I was reminded of this Chris Farley classic. Wish I had Hibernol to get me through the season!
