    One thing that hasn't been mentioned is when the heel is completely apart (like in the pic below), check that the dildo can move with absolutely no friction. Gunky old grease can build up between the internal bushing and heel piece, causing a surprising amount of friction. Spray some silicone lube down into the heel and work it up and down till friction disappears.
