Has nothing to do with Gov. Herbert’s directive, right? Nono

    Lack of snow, huh?
20 inches of fluff on top of wet dirt isn't enough to open anything. They're just scared of the COVID conga line for the WROD.

This is a bummer, but I guess beggars cant be choosers. I'm relegated to dawn patrols most of this season and was looking forward to some Collins fitness laps the next week.

The euro is showing us getting significantly less snow. Hoping the GFS turns out to be the right one

If anyone wants to ski X-files and the grass bowl beyond Chute 10 this weekend, see you there.

If Alta is the only place in either of the canyons forecasted to open 11/21 then perhaps not due potential overcrowding issues.

We are talking Solitude, on opening days I've been to they have had only the very short lower lifts open. Some snowmaking this week and 20" of snow for some bunny runs doesn't seem impossible but yeah it's cutting it close. /ArmchairSnowmaker

Sound like the correct answer. They can't spread people out enough on those lower lifts. Think of the pics created from that first day

Thats what I was thinking... with soli/bird/brighton closed, every kiddo in the valley is going to be tempted to bum rush alta. Especially if solitude doesnt open till after thanksgiving and alta is the only one open over the holidays.

I read somewhere that they're performing snowmaking repairs, which is the reason for the delay. Not sure if they ran into problems recently or what? Non-covid related.

Is this what Mike is thinking?
That'd be too bad cuz we could probably dish up Collins, Sugar, and Albion, eh?

Got some turns before the Alta edict... pretty all time despite shit visibility! A lot of fun had...

Ill be getting out on Veterans Day if any one else is heading up. Be nice to say hello from a socially distant perspective!

Booked via ParkWhiz a couple of minutes before 9am this morning — three days in early January and got confirmation emails for each.

Savvy. I should have thought of that.

    Worked in the end though.

Alta (Collins) closed to uphill traffic 4pm-8am; however, Albion up to Catherine's still open
    Edited for time

Are you referring to outside of 8am-4pm or has there been an update to Collins being closed to uphill all together?

There have been murmurs. No idea of legitimacy.
If we have a repeat this weekend, we could be looking preeettyy good.

Heard Soli's main water pump for snow making went down and is something like a week out to get a new one. No man made till it is replaced.
