Drink the Depression Away Cleveland Browns Support Group

Kraft and Watson would be like peas in a pod. It’s a no-brainer.

Different subject. Ford looked really good after Chubb went down. That’s something to be happy about.

Browns to sign free agent Kareem Hunt.

I was hoping for a 6th rounder for Jacksonville's 3rd RB, former Brown, D'ernest Johnson.

    A few thoughts:

    1. Wills Jr got absolutely smoked on the strip sack that lost the game. He said afterwards that he "had trouble with the snap count." I'm wondering if he'll be back next year. Especially if Dawand Jones works out, which it looks like he might, cause that would mean the only position they need to worry about is LT.

    2. This is still a good team. Very strong defense. Still an excellent O Line with Jones. Decent running backs with Ford and with Hunt back, and some trade options if needed. If they win two of the next three they still have a chance. An apparently adequate kicker. It still comes down to Watson playing top 15 QB football instead of bottom 10.

    3. Kind of concerning they only had 2 sacks against the Steelers though.

    4. All that said, some commentator on the Fan was talking about how they played a terrible, idiotic game and still totally outplayed Pittsburgh. Which was true.

All this means I'm very confused about this team, except for understanding the extremely high likelihood of the ineffable looming, crushing failure.

Bravo EWG, that's an excellent synopsis after Week 2. Agree on all points.

I think I heard the same host on the Fan you did (maybe the morning guys?) who said the Defense is the cat's ass and it's up to the Offense to figure shit out.

We have a functional kicker. Huzzah!

Ford and Hunt will make a good RB combo. Ford has shown he has gas in the open field, Hunt can catch balls out of the backfield and knows the offense.

I'm with you though, no clue what lies ahead and am very confused by what looks like a very good team that has to figure things out starting with the guy under center you're paying $230MM to.

Onward to ineffable looming, crushing failure!

Jed Wills Jr. is showing himself to be a really bad option at LT. He just gives up on plays all the time it seems.

Huzzah is the perfect word (and The Great is a fantastic show.)

Works for both good and bad things. I'm in.

On to Tennessee. What could go wrong? Huzzah!

In the spirit of the team bringing back former players, I learned today that Awesome Phil Dawson is still able to split the uprights from 55.

    Just sayin, Andrew Berry.

Chubb may have only torn his MCL

I tore my MCL, medial meniscus, and generally messed it all up and was skiing groomers 2 months post op.

    We got this

    Chubb, chubb, chubb!!!

That has to be his Ricky Bobby moment, no? Did he feel like he was on fire?

Could only follow along on SiriusXM today but it sounded like Ford balled out.

Kareem showed up in a 24 jersey. Love it.

That would be awesome news for Chubb if it’s just the MCL.

Browns defense is best in football right now. Scary good. They held Derrick Henry and their rush attack to 20 yards and the Titans to 94 yards, their lowest since the team was called the Oilers.

    Myles Garett had 3.5 sacks.

The Titans had 6 first downs all game.

    This D is savage.

Forgot to bring this one up. This has to be the biggest blown call of the weekend by far and robbed Amari Cooper of a guaranteed TD as he was off to the races:

Well, that was the 230million dollar sexual predator they thought they were buying. 27-33 for nearly 300 yards and 2 TDs. 123 passer rating. Multiple Houdini escapes from the pocket and he more than passed the eye test. He looked awesome.

I think I'm happy? Dunno. Hard to tell. Moral issues and all that.

Miles Garrett is a terrifying human. The Titans literally had two TE's following him around so they could triple team him. Don't believe me? Check out this shit. File it under things you have NEVER seen before, and may never see again:

He said when he figured that out he started jogging back and forth to fuck with them. It worked. They had to call a time out to get their shit together.

    That's absolutely hilarious.

Myles Garrett is playing completely wild and free this year. See: his basketball crossover before sacking Joe Burrow: https://ftw.usatoday.com/lists/myles...browns-bengals

Jim Schwartz has this defense firing on all cylinders - an incredible turnaround from Joe Wood's D last year.

I've always thought Jim Schwartz was a top DC. Was sad to see him go in Buffalo.

I've watched that several times and the non-call on the PI right in front of the ref to end the game was more egregious than his 'shove'.
    Zach Jackson of The Athletic:

We saw Watson take one (1) throw in practice today and immediately walked over to the trainers and began treatment. You have to think DTR is being prepped to start on Sunday.

Well, the DTR era has arrived waaaaaay quicker than initially thought.
