Some of the pics I've seen today from your zone are incredible. I saw a few that looked like Tahoe where people in single story homes are shoveling the snow up off the roof to clear the banks around the house.
Second floor doors are a thing on the Tug Hill.
Where is that?
I like living where the Ogdens are high enough so that I'm not everyone's worst problem.- YetiMan
^^ Woods Valley. Over 300" now I think.

And sometimes the bear eats you.
Been a long time since I saw an impromptu party chair. Nice.
Small ski areas rock.
I still call it The Jake.
I think I noticed earlier this yea4 that West got rid of thier under-chair garbage box. A little premature I think
you’re right - they did get rid of the box. no more bombs away [emoji107]

How was Lies skiing?
Did a cool lap today and got to watch the sun rise over the Berkshires and Taconic while simultaneously watching the moon set over the Catskills. Then at the end of the day watched the sun set over the Cats while the moon was rising as I was driving south on the Taconic. 60° up at Snow Ridge was cool, too bad this sciatica shit has me damn near hobbled so I worked instead and spent 2 hours in Lowville![]()
Snuck in a little after work ski at Victor Constant this evening. First time there and better than I expected.
Cause when you're wanted in VT, it's a good idea to hide Upstate: https://www.wcax.com/2025/03/15/acti...rway-new-york/
I got to spend the night in a nice state hwy dept maintained mud lot at the end of the Rt 17 exit 82 E exit ramp. That was fun. https://photos.app.goo.gl/1c6J4w8U8iYe4voF7
Shit. What happened to your new whip?
Pothole shredded the right front tire. It came with run flats because with the AWD there's no room for a spare underneath. The PO put regular tires on (as they should have). Wouldn't have mattered, as hard as it hit it would've ruined those too. I think I'm gonna take out the 2/3 rear set and make it an under-floor spare compartment. I think I need a new wheel tooso if you see one for an SE cheap lemme know.
FWIW 17 is a fukn minefield, bearable when dry but scary in the rain.
That sucks GL. I wonder if anybody makes a swing arm external carrier for a full size spare for the Sienna. I bet it would be a pain in the ass to deal with but, you know, it might look cool. Plattekill has one day left. $25 tickets tomorrow but they are only gonna have one trail open- Northface. Not sure that I will make it but maybe
Yeah I'm trying to figure out a way to do that and still have a bike rack back there.
Yeah, I was not thinking about the bikes. That rules out putting it on the roof too I guess.
In other news it appears that the Erie Canal turns 200 this year. What should we do to celebrate?
Ride the empire state trail from albany to buffalo and NYC to the Canadian border
^^^sounds fun
