Actually the real locals don't give a fuck--they have 2 broken down cars in their front lawn and a styrofoam buck for decoration and are just trying to survive. They want everyone to go back to where they came from, including the pretend locals who own that farm who are probably from Greenwich, CT.

The current owner of the farm purchased it for 2.2 million in 2020 from Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry and his wife, Billie, who made Sleepy Hollow their Vermont retreat. The property consists of 115 acres and includes the original Cape and a heated six-stall barn with loft/studio that’s connected to the house, as well as a pond, a guest house and a log cabin that rests on a ridge with fantastic views of the surrounding hills.

    Mmm, idyllic.

Also, $2.2M for that spread? That’s a fucking steal.

It truly is. The only downer about Pomfret is it's a bit more than a hop and skip away from the world class skiing at Magic Mountain. I think that's reflected in the price. Closer and that's $3+ million easily.

Thanks. I guess I screwed that up.

26 lbs is a lot of coke to lose. So when will we start seeing cartel submarines on Lake Champlain?

I have a feeling the second epoch of gentleman submariners has entered its coda.

mega TR warning, cuz its canning time in teh upstates

    start by picking some tomatoes

continue until your garage is filled

fire up some pots, grab an uncle charlie

    and start stirring

stir often so it doesn’t burn

then get a few jars ready

    rev up the “spremipomodoro”

many posts to be manned: scooper

    stuffer:

    jar filler and basil plucker:

    canners:

    keep boiling, set up windbreaks:

more boiling, lots of boiling in fact:

and don’t forget to recycle the tomato guts back into the garden for next year

that’s all there is to it. all day effort but we canned 155 jars, including 30 double/jumbo jars

    2martinis is totally sauced

Yesterday was one of the few times I don't love the Taconic. What the fuck was with all the traffic? Then there's always that citiot doing 45-50 in the left lane that occasionally matches the speed of the other citiot passing in the right lane and then they both slow down next to each other and cause more geniuses behind them to bump into each other as they try to jockey for space between the muddy shoulder and the steel rail 6" off the left edge. Then the geniuses that bump each other feel the need to stop right there fucking everyone else up.

It's leaf peeping season--you always get extra tourists. Along those lines Warwick Applefest effed up my motorcycle ride yesterday, then I forgot about the Renaissance Faire and proceeded to get stuck in that shit show. Horrible day on the bike.

yep, probably the third best song on the first best album to have stuck in your cd player on repeat as you leisurely gaze at the luscious explosion that is peak adirondac fall scenery for hours on end…

Maybe a CNY guy can weigh in. Not familiar enough with the Cuse to call bullshit but I don’t like the self-reporting part of the study. How can we trust the data? I mean if they were really drunk when they filled out the questionnaire they would have lied right?
