The Town of Breckenridge just announced that anyone with COVID symptoms can now get tested. This effort is definitely a month too late for most of us in this area, but better late than never I guess. I'll have to wait for a reliable antibody test.

Ouch! Yeah, as runners (and really, with most physical activities), we're used to pushing past pain barriers and being rewarded on the other side, like most of our pains are a mind-over-matter type of pain. But, sometimes, we run into a more literal type of pain...
I hope you recover quickly from your hip, and then hopefully you can be ready for next year!
so I didnt see anyone else ask
do you think there is any lasting damage to your lungs or body ??

I don’t think so?
Since I don’t think I have lung damages.
(congested coughs, trouble breathing, chest pains... etc)
But who knows.
No one seem to really know what’s going on with this virus.
For now there isn’t much I can do since I can’t even get a chest X-ray.
My doctor will take this into consideration for next annual checkup.
Right now, I’m just trying to get some physical strength back.
Antibody testing is marginal. People with mild symptoms, and younger cohorts can both not show detectable antibodies.

Not sure if this is the right spot for this, but our hospital received our first supply of the Pfizer vaccine (the currently inconveniently named "BNT162b2") on Monday, and I got my first of two shots for the COVID-19 vaccine today. Immediate reaction is that the shot was extremely unremarkable. It felt like a normal flu shot, and I've definitely had worse. But, since it's only been 7 hours since I've had the shot, I'm sort of expecting tomorrow to feel worse since the trial data published in the NEJM (https://www.nejm.org/doi/10.1056/NEJMoa2034577) talked about a pretty high incidence of mild/moderate headache and fatigue. Though, for what its worth, the incidence of headache and fatigue in that same article was also really high in the placebo group too...
So.
It’s been 8 months since I got over this thing.
I recently had an annual checkup which included an antibody test and I still have antibodies?
I wonder if it was because my body had to fight extra hard without being hospitalized?
Anyways.
I’m still alive and still kicking.
Garfield3d, I’m happy you got the vaccine and hope it settles nicely with your system.
Keep us posted!
Go choi go!
Nice, NMC.
Hang in there, Garfield.
Thanks for the well wishes guys. As a small update, Day 1 after the vaccine hasn't been bad. I haven't noticed any fatigue or headache yet. The left arm pain is a bit more noticeable, and it gets worse depending on whether I have it flexed vs. just relaxed. Still, I'd say it's only a 2-3 out of 10 on the pain scale, and the spicy biriyani that I had for lunch was a lot worse. I'll update if anything ridiculous happens, and maybe again after the 2nd shot. If you guys have any questions, feel free to ask, but it's been pretty unremarkable so far.
Also, it's really heartening to hear that you still have antibodies Choi! I was listening in on the FDA VRBPAC meeting on Youtube today, and the duration of the vaccine response was a big unknown that came up a few times. Knowing that your antibodies are floating around gives me a little bit more hope that immunity can last long enough to snuff this out over the next year.
Not sure if this is what you meant but a club certainly exists:

Hey, goldenboy - has your friend considered getting vaccinated? I've heard it brings these symptoms to a fairly rapid grinding halt. If he has had it, it might be the proof he's wanted.
