    White ski + B&D leashes

I'd rather deal with snow buildup on black skis than the hassle of B&D leashes

I don't understand the hassle comment. One of the great things about the B&D leashes is that you don't even have to remove them to put skins on, etc. due to the length. So the only hassle, for me, is when I put them on at the truck. Being a long time telewhacker, maybe I view "hassle" differently than A/T folks though.

(as of last year I am on A/T in the backcountry, to clarify)

They're a great touring ski if, like me, you can get along with a very progressive mount. They are light and easy to overpower, however. I'd go white, aren't they 40-50% off now?

How much more fun, and how much heavier does it feel?

My guess is over 40% more funner. With how light the vision 98 is on the foot and how short it skis unless, if I was pairing it with a beefier touring boot (zero g / maestrale) again I'd gomwith the 108 in a 189.

Never skied the 189 though so YMMV
