wait - what? Color me surprised as well. I am very curious to see what these will cost in my neck of the woods after adding the Schirmer tax and local distributor fee.

Very curious to learn how much toe elasticty these have.

They seem fucking fantastic though. Will def buy at some point.

Yes - same question re toe elasticity. Previous ATK versions didn't have Tecton Vipec elasticity or the mode where, given a hard hit, the toe pin would flip open. These videos show this new ATK has some elasticity.

Does the binding actually have 0 delta in ski mode? I've seen it written in a few articles.

The binding will piss the certification requirements but as I understand it they're currently not seeking it. Combination of v.high cost & bureaucratic timescale.

Hoping moment will get the chance to put their touch on them like the voyagers.

The ski Trab tr1 looks more interesting to me if this is the type of binding I was after. Good to see the evolution going on.

Edit: only a small amount of transverse? Elastic travel in the heel and none in the toe. Tough binding for inbounds use.

ATK ceased all 'branded' offering at the end of last season.

I think atk incorporated the toe shim on all freeraiders after the moment collab so a freeraider is the same as the voyager

4mm toe shims and freeride spacers are standard with freeraider 15, but not all the others - can be added to all freeraider evo bindings

are they built into the binding like the voyager or still a separate part?

$850+ for a flat tecton with negative ramp tour mode and you need to take off to go from touring to descending a la shift/duke PT/Cast?

I guess. The cnc aluminum will look very cool though. Hopefully it has more elasticity than the tecton or shift (heel).

I am not so sold too tbh. FR15 skis so well, wether on Zero Gs or Rustlers that I can’t really tell what kind of upgrade it would be. Did my ACL on tectons not releasing and FR15 feel safer to me !

All those hybrid bindings look so complicated and this one is no different

7mm vertical elasticity, so worse than kingpin (on paper), not sure about tecton. Shift still way better.

I like, but probably won't buy.

I agree that it is good to see more choices in this segment with different approaches. “Without deviation from the norm, progress is not possible” -Zappa

I went with the SkiTrab TR1 for my travel ski and am excited to give them a go this season. They were under $430 shipped from Italy.

    Re elasticity

Tecton is 26mm at toe 9 at heel. Kingpin is 16 at heel. Shift is the most of course

Still waiting for your review on it.

I know it says all metal, but is the track metal? I find that's where most bindings develop slack.

So as pointed out the spacer and shim is a separate part. The voyagers are machined into the binding itself. So not the same

Yeah track appears to be a derivative of the recent raider metal updated track.

Overall it seems like a more robust, less elastic tecton. The toe is obviously more aggressive, which might be unnecessary. Tecton always felt a bit disconnected and fragile; curious re the on snow performance of this design. Ideally it will share a raider hole pattern....

according to moment this is incorrect. They’ll continue to have moment branded voyagers built to their specs. New items like the Hy have a 1 exclusive before they can be offered cobranded.
