Do those brakes have a slider? I don't think they do. The freeride spacer has a slider so lateral movement is basically unimpeded.

Wow. 550g, all metal? I don’t really need it but it does seem pretty cool.

Has anyone had issues with Moment branded toes?
I bought some lightly used skis mounted with Moment Voyager 16, skied them last season exclusively touring, this year decided to change my setup, sold the bindings here in GS and the buyer sent me pics of the toe missing a piece. It looks to be a plastic piece that cracked and fell out , no visible signs of impact. Obviously I refunded a poor guy who just drilled his new 1k skis.
Tried reaching out to Moment CS with no luck.

This might be common knowledge for some but just in case anyone else was curious and didn't know:

Chatted with an ATK rep about the Trofeo 4mm heel gap and it seems that up to 0.5mm less than spec is still within tolerance for proper functionality ( >3.5mm)

Anything cooler than the FR15 evo coming out next year or should I stock up with super cheap pairs from europe?

Also does anyone know why the previous freerider spacer doesn’t fit the EVO models? a shop fucked up and mounted a pair of mine with a old spacer. Seems to work fine?

From ATK the word is no. Cheapest I found here are around 550€ but if you have better options I am in the market for one extra pair in 108 !

The heel bases of the original Raider and the more recent Raider Evo are different as the Evo base needs to accommodate the needs of the auto lock-up brake on the Evo.

The evo heel baseplate will be metal instead of plastic and the heel gap will be 2mm instead of 4. That's all I'm aware of

Where is this 'Super Cheap' that you speak of? € is doing fine. Makes me miss the opportunity back in 2022.

    Does a 2mm gap ski better than a 4mm?

Can anyone comment on the FR 16 release value? That is, what type of skier needs that much vs the 14. Specifically, I have a line FR 16 but I think its over kill. I ski aggressively in 3D snow but rarely huck. Too much clamp for a 220# with 29 bsl?

    Radically better I'm sure, heh

I guess people have broken the baseplate so maybe that's a worthwhile upgrade, but I haven't seen it

Question for those with the 2-piece freeride spacer (AL09 or AL13):

Do you get icing on the spacers pushing into your boot? On a few occasions I've gotten ice build up on the sliders, probably made worse by the metal screw in top. I might be imagining things, but I feel like when this ice is uneven between sides, it creates some weird heel pressure that I have to correct for while skiing.

    ^^thanks, tempting!

With the new Evo brakes, can you tour in pins-forward mode? Or do you have to spin the tower around to lock the brakes down?

I get the ice buildup often starting in the screw holes. Important to smash it off with your pole as you can get vertical pre releases if you dont.

Slick strips cut into circles on top of binding screws for the win!

Thanks! I will try this. It's been really annoying to chip at ice every transition.

Does anyone have some 120 brakes to trade for some 102s before i buy a set from Hagen? Non evo, mine are new.
a positive attitude will not solve all of your problems, but it may annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
