I'm choka at the moment with stock arriving and getting out pre-orders but when I get a minute I'll measure up the hole spacings off my jig and I'll let you know.
The mounting templates for the new bindings are on ATK's recently updated website but it doesn't look like the links are live yet but they should be soon: https://www.atkbindings.com/en/downloads-2/
Anyone have a mounting template for the bd Helio 350
Thanks did a quick search and did not see it
I'm in need of Helio 180 template.
This should be the Trofeo Plus. Download it from here (but as always, check before committing): https://www.atkbindings.com/en/downloads-2/

i printed today and laid bindings on paper template looks good
check printer measure twice
premount on 2x4
let us know how it goes and any tips we should know
now what skis to mount them on.
Any chance a 102mm ATK FR14 brake would squeeze onto a 111mm ski?
Nope, you need 108mm and even that one will require light bending.
I wonder whether there is any way for us to put together a TGR group buy, the way I organized the Plum group buy years ago.
I'd bet that we can get enough maggots to purchase 50+ pair. $400 or so for FR14 would be schweet!!!
I think that I will send an e-mail of inquiry to ATK.

The internal width of all the ATK brakes, when measured across the underside of heel base, matches their stated width. At the tips of the levers the internal width is then another 11/12mm wider.
And their 'double bend' at the elbow makes it a lot easier to narrow/widen them compared to a brakes with 90 degree elbows.
Here's some pics of the 97mm brake to illustrate:

got this sweet pair of Release 10's courtesy of Spyderjon today, and i am stoked!
toe pattern for the new ATK carbon toepiece looks like 45mmx45mm square (no calipers so i just used my trusty cutting mat to measure), which is definitely an improvement over the 30x27 we're used to seeing for ATK. it looks like the direct closest comparable binding would be the G3 Ion in terms of mount spacing.
bindings are ~10 grams heavier than stated weight, but that's to be expected (i guess?!). why can't manufacturers just tell the truth here? not a big deal though.
with screws & leash we're at 289. sub 300! also, the fact that they included leashes is a nice touch.
some other details..
the tensioning spring for the heel riser is user-serviceable (no floppy flappies!!), that's a really nice touch. the flappies also seem longer than in previous ATK bindings, should give nice support for the heel
there's only 20mm of adjustment in the heel travel (i know, i'm a whiner) - should be enough, but i'm so ADD when it comes to boots that i need to think about this mount carefully.
i think this plastic jobber is a spacer for where the freeride spacer can go? if so, it begs the question - why put in a spacer for the spacer (and not just the spacer itself)? need to see if my existing spacers will work in this space.
big shoutout to spyderjon for being super easy to work with and shipping these super fast. now to mount and wait for snow...
Nice man, those look great. Prob get those when my light clamps are done. Got some FR14 scheduled for delivery today... stoked to check em out
I had a Radical ST, Tecton and currently ski a Vipec - all with DIN setting of 6.5/7. Don't know which one to buy: ATK R12 or R10? R12 has a DIN range 5-12 and the R10 has 4-10.
R12. I ski at 7 or 8 depending on bindings and I ski the R12 at 8. R12 will be better for resale also.
buy the red one
Thanks!
Better to be OCD before the mount than after ;-)
I always think about future boot selections (BSL), and I currently mount for my Zero-Gs, but bias the mount to allow for a lighter, shorter boot. With my 293BSL, I'll do a test mount to allow for extension to say, 300 which would allow for all the way down to 280.
Of course the second consideration (because we are being OCD after all) is where you want the boot center to land. Do you work off of your long boot, short boot, or somewhere in between.
There's time until the snowpack builds.

That template work out for you with the helio 180s? I have access to a mill right now to accurately drill holes but don't have the bindings with me, so wanted to check that the template measurements are spot on.

If you have a mill, then I'd modify the template based on test mounts with the binding in hand.
I find templates in general to be "hand drill" accurate.

For some complicated logistical reasons I can either have skis + mill but no bindings or skis + bindings but no mill. So I'm trying to decide which I am less likely to screw up.
