Inbounds boot to pair with Zero G Tour Pro

I'm switching over to alpine after years of telemark. I have a pair of Tecnica Zero G Tour Pros that I like a lot, but I'm looking for a boot for skiing inbounds. I don't have a good shop nearby, so trying on boots is tough. Should I get just Tecnica Mach1s since I like the Zero Gs? Should I look at something else?

Cochise or Mach depending on how far alpine you want. I have Cochise Pro for the resort/side country and Zero Guide Pro Tour for backcountry. Both fits me exceptionally well and each boot has it's place in boot quiver.

Thanks, I should have mentioned the Cochise. Is it a clear step up in downhill performance from the Zero G Tour Pro?

I ski ZGTP inbounds and out for 2 reasons.

1: I like having the same boot across the board for consistency (the ZGTP is a great boot on the downhill)
2: I would rather spend $1000 once instead of twice.

On 1. I don’t disagree on 1. But a power wrap in cochise 130 is so much better.

On 2. Buy wisely. I bought both for around $1000

I’d like to try it. I’m a little scared of the LV and the MV doesn’t seem as shaped as the Cochise. Maybe I’ll just buy the LV and a stuff a power wrap in and hope.

you're correct on the shape. Cochise pro has a tighter heel than MV Mach and wider forefoot than LV Mach. Call it a LV Mach heel and MV Mach forefoot. Mach is ajust a bit more power and damping and that counts when I'm skiing over frozen chicken heads

i think I saw that next years 2021 mach1 MV is an updated boot, maybe different fit, but I have bulbous feet so

Yes. The Tour Pro is impressive for a touring boot, but the extra beef and ballast of the Cochise makes a noticeable difference.

This. The cochise is a very noticeable bump up from the zero g. And the mach 1 is a noticeable (but smaller) bump up from the Cochise.

I think I’ll be buying the 2021 MV then!
