picked up an old ansel adams print that i hope came out of his darkroom in the fifties.
the mat is a little beaten up and i was hoping to replace it.
usually with these nielsen metal frames you have a couple screws in the corner that serve to release the tension but this one appears to have its L brackets glued in place.
should i wack at it with a chisel?
was this a common security thing or do i have some sort of moldy later print?
