A few things to consider whether the lab-leak theory is someday conclusively proven true or false: If the virus spread because of unsafe food markets that's almost as negligent and bad. And two, at the end of the day China is just another culture war marker for these idiots whose real target is Americans they don't like. They're marinated in and driven by resentment. It is second nature to them.

It's cynical manipulation using reality-denial into baiting people to argue with them. Their own views really don't matter to them. They're simply supporting one argument because the people they don't like are on the other side. They welcome peoples denunciations and want to play the victim for being 'cancelled' for their views. Then read a bunch of analysis and parsing from other experts - citing the limits of the source aggregation, conclusions and contrasts with other studies. This stood out: "For example, just six of the 78 trials included were conducted during the COVID-19 pandemic". I recommend reading additional sources regarding useful interpretation.
