op do it like a civilized person. Find a hotel with free parking by the airport, drive down the day before, stay in the hotel and in the morning get up and go. Arrive at your destination refreshed, rested and with all your shit.

I'll have my boots and buying new skis isn't the worst thing.

Not sure if JH is any better these days, but my friends job was to run gear from the airport to all the hotels and condos at the village. It was full time job, so my expectations are pretty low to start. It's all good...I'm going to JH and it's been way too long. Hoping to meet up with some of the old timers still there. I'm just happy.

If you're from the east, there's no WAY you own big enough skis for Jackson. Just demo.

Now that you mention it, they do have a very good selection of big skis at the base in a few stores. Better than most hills. I'd call ahead, though.
