Seal's the deal for me.
This Modena includes movie memorabilia including photos, signed build photos, a 1/24-scale diecast model and a Hot Wheels car.

That's not even a Ferrari. It's like Don Johnson's in Miami Vice, which I'm pretty sure was a Vette with Ferrari skin.
They just sold the real deal Mustang, one of two, that Steve McQueen drove in Bullitt, for 3.5 million. All original down to shocks, and pretty beat. Used as a daily driver before storage in a barn. Leno drive it in his show.

So choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up.

Uhhh, without insulting the builder of Dons “Vette-a-rossa” It’s worlds apart from the OP car. Just for starters, Ferrari made like 30 of those 250s and hundreds of Testarossas. You’d need about 10 million bucks at least to get a 250. Low miles Testarossa can be had for less than 100k is my guess. I also suspect that the parts on the Bueller car are of a higher grade as is the overall craftsmanship of the vehicle. Not to mention that a testarossa replica ain’t gonna turn faster laps than a testarossa, where I bet this can get around faster than the original. You could also drive a testarossa somewhere other than the concours, an original 250? Far less likely. A lovingly built replica is gonna cost, it’s a friggin hand built car, they don’t go cheap, check out an AC Shelby replica that’s done “right” - not cheap but not 500k and with all the thrills and some kinks smoothed out.
Of course they all fail compared to my 08 outback. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up.If we're gonna wear uniforms, we should all wear somethin' different!

Yeah, but the whole point of the OP, is auction value, and replicars have little value. That's why I posted about the Bullitt Mustang. That is now the classic textbook example of provenance value. It's totally beat, and even in original condition would get smoked by hundreds of cars selling for 40 grand and less today. But, it's just like the coolest car ever. Even McQueen tried to buy it.
That Jackson Barrett show makes me cringe. They roll up badly restored and modified crap up on that stage, and shout and scream hype to sell it to fat old boomers with beards. But, a lot of time it works. Sucker born........
