Harry, heal up!!!!! You'll be out there in no time!!

I will confirm all the mags showed up, and all skied very inappropriate midwest skis. Harry also didn't throw any empty beer cans at the Volkl tent, nor did he throw any full ones our way....

Great see you all again!!! Except Axe, he didn't share any of his granola

    2019/2020 Midwest Stoke Thread

At least one maggot made it up there. (not me)

    The report was:
Friday, thunder and lightning, pouring rain, did not ski, went to Hungry Hippie Tacos.
Saturday, boilerplate snow, pea soup fog, officially Best Skier On The Mountain

I will let that maggot fill in any details I missed.

That made me smile. insert grin emoji.

Doing better, but not out of the woods, not by a long shot.
More details in the Blood Clot thread over in Gimp Central.
One of my clots is over a foot long, I had no idea that was even possible.
Doc says that big one may take months to dissolve.
Thanks for all the kind words everyone. It helps keep me focused on the positive.

I am not sure what kind of Bump-age you seek, axe-

I exchanged messages with Harry over the weekend ; he had indicated in another thread that he was headed to Duluth -
after the shootings and killings in The Cities last Friday night, I wanted to know that he got home okay.

ugly- has his annual BWCAw pilgrimage ( Maybe even this week. I think I read about a June trip ).

The situation at Tyrol should be working through the system ( I think that was this year ; probably should check up-thread ).

The TwinCities are certainly not the cities of my youth
( it was probably Foolish to take the light-rail across 'town' at five.am in March...

    Please
    Be Safe -

Indeed, heading up the Gunflint trail Saturday to Tuscarora lodge, have a Saganaga entry permit for Sunday am with a tow to American Point. Very happy they have gotten some rain up there to dampen the fire danger. Looks like we might have some boomers Sunday evening, hopefully, the atmospheric cap limits severity. Then some cooler air moves in from Canada.

Been hanging with Tumblehomies over on the Discord. Great group of canoeists, TGR' esk with a bit less drama and maybe a bit more relevant to my life at this moment.

All thoughts are with Minnesota. I owned and lived in a house in Champlin for a few years right where the shootings happened. Political violence is unacceptable.

Had to lay low for a couple months after our Yurp trip, canceled a trip out west in April to go into super saver mode and pay cash for medical/dental bills for the dentists to finish up restoring my wife's mouth from a bike accident 2 plus years ago, when medical stops paying, so not much to report here on TGR except we have emerged from the other side with pretty teeth and paid bills.

interesting development in southern Wisconsin -
McGree's trial was called off last week due to a plea agreement. A plea hearing was scheduled for July.
Today, a new attorney has entered the case on behalf of McGree, and his previous attorney has withdrawn from the case.

    the plot thickens -
Sheriff's department reports contain conflicting reports of whether there was physical contact between McGree and a 17 year old "child" who has been on the property without a lift ticket/pass.

    Safe trip, ugly-

    Checking in

Still alive, blood clot is 3+ months inside me like a ticking time bomb. [emoji378]

Had a maggot visit my island, SkiJ stopped by and brought me lunch, which was much appreciated. Change for a nickel, eh? ??

Spent the last week in MN, Duluth for the No Kings protest [emoji631], then up to Ely. Did not see uglymoney up there.
