I don’t even know TJ, a lot. I mean, the lake was unseasonably warm and it’s just blasting -20 air over it for 5 days now. Plus a week ago it was puking warm wet system snow too. Big week.

    Facebook says 51”.... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Super nice conditions. Soft and smooth about everywhere, lots of untracked lines. Barely felt the cold. Had a great time skiing with IAS...

we had a couple days like that at lutsen almost thirty years ago ( 1994, I believe ) -

Moose mountain was fourteen minute and sixteen minute Riblet rides...
it was Cold ( -24F to -14F ) , but we were dressed for it and I do not remember being cold.

stayed at Mountain Inn on ski hill road - spent two days trying to get the car started ; eventually had to get it towed and parked inside for four hours to get it started -

    . . . Good old days . . . skiJ

JW sighting in the lower midwestern hemispherical ski belt. Couple laps then he had to go sell himself to the devil with his picture taking skills. So cold today so far until the sun came out.

I realize after Yetiman's all time post this stoke is like bringing a gherkin to a cucumber party but it is the best I can do.

Everything pretty much closed on Sunday in the MSP area. I was "cool" with that. 10 years ago, I might have been a bit salty, but not so much now.

Skiing from Mohawk, near the awkwardly-named Gay Mohawk road in fact, for a few days if anyone else is up here. The dump machine is offline, but we’re now at butter Cadillac not-hitting-shit full coverage. I had a double-heel today and had to fight around in armpit-deep pow, and I’m 6’3.
It was packing out on the high traffic zones...maybe a few more days left of powfinding out in the planets, etc.

Yeah, cool how it arranges in waves so on a sunny day you get an hour of snow, then an hour of Sun...back and forth.

$3 Tequila shots whenever a train is going by. And a food truck. Covid innovation.

The chalk on Warpath tonight was all time. You can't make this shit up. Be here all weekend before the thaw wrecks Ullr's blessings.

Don't want this winter to end. It's been a fun one. In a few week lull from skiing but back to Chestnut next weekend and hoping for about ten more days of skiing this season.

Great pics btw over past page or so.

Christie Mountain did not disappoint today. I’m having a blast in the Midwest. Gummies up, streaming 80’s music into my earbuds (A Flock Of Seagulls), trenching wall to wall corduroy. 3 hours hotlapping lift served, followed by 2 hours Nordic. Warm & sunny. I was afraid spending a winter in the Midwest would suck but it does not. I’m having an awesome time.
