Post For Sale: Sharp VL-WD450 Digital Video Camera

I bought this Camera about 3 years ago on EBay. It had been refurbished by Sharp, and when the Ebay seller shipped it, it arrived in the packaging that Sharp had put it in when it was refurbished, so basically I bought it in like-new condition (There is also obviously no factory warranty). Since then, I have not used it much, and figure I might as well sell it to help pay for some stuff since I took up photography.

Anyway, the camera is a Sharp VL-WD450 Digital Viewcam, and all parts, cords, chargers, batteries, and accessories are accounted for and will be included. The camera is working perfectly, except for the digital still picture feature. The camera has the ability to take still pictures, but it's not reading the card that I have in there. It can, however, take still pictures onto tape. Other than that the actual camera and all its features work fine.

If anyone has any specific questions about the features of this cam let me know, but here is a basic spec list:
    Records to MiniDV tapes,
    780x digital zoom,
    26x optical zoom,
    Night Recording (infrared)
    Digital Image Stabilization,
    Zoom Microphone (w/windbreak),
    Color viewfinder and LCD,
    16-bit Audio
    Auto/Manual Focus,
    Shutter Speed set,
    Manual Exposure,
    Wide Screen recording mode(16:9),
    Firewire connection,
    Direct connect to TV,
    Remote Control,
    Wide Angle lens (removable)

Included are: the camera, a single battery pack (good for about 1.5 hours worth of filming on snow, more in warm weather, which is more filming time than you may think), battery charger, remote control, a wide angle lens (bought separately), and the manual.

As for price, I'm not really sure what to ask. I paid around $500 when I bought it on Ebay, and it retailed for much higher. I'm probably looking for around half that, but I will consider all offers. PM me.

    I have that cam.
    Works great for me.
The 26x optical zoom is one of the largest, and comes in handy.

Does that camera have a LANC connector (for helmet cam on/off switch)? If so, I'll throw out an offer.

I'll be honest, I have no idea what that is, but if it's just a port labeled LANC, than there is not one on this camera.

No worries, looked around a bit, and it sounds like Sony's are the only reputable company that really offers a LANC on many of their cams... thanks

    yup - still available

It's pretty much just plug and play. I used to just upload video onto Windows XP using a firewire. Pretty straight forward, and if you want to edit, I'm pretty sure "windows movie maker" is free software.
