endorses one of the biggest ski manufacturers out there for the past decade or so, and one of the bigger eyewear companies in extreme sports. I think he's pretty well known, but like you said its a crowded field, filled with a lot of rippers.

I liked reading the comments and seeing a pro skier take issue with the landed cleanly claim hahaha

daiek is a fucking cartoon. theres a pretty gnarly line in the eastern sierra that rarely fills in to the top and is one that 99.9% of people cautiously make their way down it, ski mountaineering stylee. last year it filled in.......enough for him to air into the 45/50 degree tight couloir and just slay it in a few turns. dood is a gamechanger that walks that fine line with style and humble grace.

His instagram account is a really fun follow, he puts out some fun, quick pov edits of just maching down big, back country descents. I love his style.

On a side note, when I first saw the road gap clip I recognized the hugeness and rad achievement of this jump but I also had a realization that I've been so desensitized to this stuff from being inundated daily by social media over the years. I mean, nothing really awes me any longer. I suppose this could just be my age and overall cynicism. Sorry if I'm being a wet blanket here but it was a kind of weird realization.
