This is what I use for 2 bikes on a 1up rack. Restaurants. Grocery stores. Trailheads. Overnight at hotels. If I have more bikes, I’d rather get a second chain than a longer chain. It gets unwieldy. I think a 1/2” chain would be too heavy and cumbersome at this length.
Is it infallible? No.
Do I have insurance? Yep.

Then look for a lock that the Lockpickinglawyer doesn’t single out as totally sucking. Like, don’t get a MasterLock. And don’t get something smaller than the chain or you’re paying too much for the chain. Budget $25-40 for a solid lock. Double-Triple that if you just want to buy a bomber lock and don’t have patience for the padlock rabbit hole.

I was debating this same thing and found this "Home" style lock from Hiplock on sale. https://hiplok.com/product/home-silver/ With the code meg20 it was just over $50 shipped. I will report back when it arrives, but I figure I will use this heavy ass thing only when I have to leave my bikes overnight, unattended for 1+hr on my car or in my shed long term.

Yeah, none of those things. It's a mystery, it's not threaded, it has an o ring. Doesn't appear that I can take it apart. I can't put weed in it... looks like a schrader valve, but I can't depress it nor put a pump on it. I am gonna lose sleep now.

Looks more like a DC barrel jack power connection than a valve. But no obvious indication of what it does …

Just went through the Eagle setup video for chain length yesterday.
They recommend 1.5 links overlap for FS, 2 links for HT.

My bad. The word «app» was missing.
The AXS app gave me perfect chainlength for Transmission.

I know the SRAM video, and it has worked well.

What I wondered was if it was a difference between chain lengths for Transmission and normal Eagle. And if there is; why? Has to be the dimensions of the derailleur if frame/chainring and cassette is the same, no?
