What glue to use with C/L/Butterfly pads?

I use some L pads on the back of my boot liners to create a better heel pocket and take up some room. On both intuition liners and some palau liners that have more of a fabric type material on the outside. Due to me pulling the liners out to dry quite a bit they start to peel and come off the liner with just the adhesive that comes from the factory. Is there a good type of adhesive that would more permanently bond them together? Or should I just duct tape them into place?

Some simple spray-on adhesive should help, but even with duct tape, and depending on the inside of your boots, pulling them in and out is gonna be rough on the pads.

Weldwood contact cement. Put it on both side and make sure it is dry to the touch before applying.

In a pinch, I've had success in the past with using two layers of double sided carpet tape. Heat both exterior of liner and the tape on the pad with a hair dryer before attaching.

Carpet tape also works great, it's less permanent than 3M or contact cement but still really durable/strong

I been cutting pieces of irrigation discharge hose and taping them inside the boot shell with good ole Ductape to take up space

you can buy the hose in different sizes by the foot for very cheap, its thicker than layers of ductape, but still thin enough that it conforms to curved inner surfaces of the boot, it does not pack out, it is waterproof, it doesn't rot

I guess if I had a supply of irrigation discharge hose that'd be cheaper? Otherwise, L pads are $5 and have always worked well for me.

I think its only .60 cents a foot so 8 feet of the stuff would last you forever

but I don't put it on the liner I put it on the shell, its good for taping almost anywhere inside a shell

so its possible to do more than L pads and I would call it slightly different app

Still experimenting. Anyone know where I can pick up C/L/butterfly/cut to shape boot fitting foam in the SLC area? Ski shop in Ogden is closed for the season and I checked with skimo and they claim to have none.

Ideally I could pick it up tomorrow and get these boots dialed in time for a trip this weekend.

Pretty sure 2nd Tracks is a no go. I know they didn't used to have boot fitting stuff. Definitely worth a call though.
LH & SD, on the other hand, do boot fitting and are both still open
