Some years you rent it out, others you eat the annual dues because you didn't go. Want to buy mine for $1? It is next to Heavenly. 3bdrm & 2 bath.
OK, maybe I was kinda joking, however, the one we stayed in was pretty sweet, and cheap. Even got an additional room at a highly discounted rate. Resort was pretty amazing as far as resorts go too. Luckily, we can use it for the next 7 years if we want, but I get your point, we probably won't. However, it can be traded for stays in other locations as well.

Funny thing is, I've stayed slope side at Heavenly in a timeshare too. Maybe it was yours.

I've spent a fair bit of time researching and some of the reviews are pretty shitty, poor battery life, dropped wifi, easy to break etc.

I'm actually installing a Nest deadbolt in our rental unit today. It has to have internet connection, so that could be the downfall I guess. Been using a cheaper code lock without the ability to change codes remotely and it worked fine but wanted a little extra added security.

Nope but the wifi thermostat is a good addition.

In spite of being out of my element I managed to hit 2 mescal tastings on the way out of customs in PV .

I would never recommend a timeshare to anyone but i do recommend being interested enough to get the tequila tasting

Just left PV two days ago, we call it "Running the timeshare gauntlet". Speaking of that airport, it has really grown a ton since the last time I was there 2.5 years ago, but the only restaurant in the terminal is still a Bubba Gumps? WTF?

Duno ^^ I tossed back a couple shots, all the ATM's were empty, wandered over the bridge and found the Sayulita bus
