As much as I like to poke fun at that site for being guys who don't climb anymore arguing nonsense, there are some gems of threads there which are being destroyed. It's kind of sad, just clicked through the Arizona Climbing Appreciation thread and half the pictures are gone now.

I kinda think Supertopo jumped the shark some years ago and I got to the point where I rarely looked at it. Chris Mac should have separated out the polyass shit a long time ago like TGR did...best decision this place ever made IMO, I just can't stand looking at that shit even in my timeline. But instead he kept it all integrated, then when it got so poisonous that it was destroying the place he had to basically tell people "we can't discuss politics anymore," which obviously doesn't go over well, because that's all a lot of those guys cared about discussing.

The photo copyright thing is a whole different can of worms...somebody must have been threatening him with a lawsuit or something. Somebody suggested he is prepping to sell Supertopo but he denies it. Still, removing all those photos seems like an overreaction. OH well, I wish him luck, probably a totally thankless and money losing job to run a forum like that.
