i have to say it has been pretty cool to watch the younger group of players/friends wait to congratulate each other when they win. i don't really remember that much prior to thomas, spieth, fowler, etc. pretty cool to see all those guys who just got beat line up with genuinely happy faces for tiger. not sure koepka was too into it but hey.

I was a pretty successful golfer in high school... was weighing different college scholarship options after winning some big tournaments my Junior year. Hurt my back playing soccer the next fall and would give it a few weeks to rest, it would be fine for a round or two, then start hurting like hell. Doctors were confused, couldn't find anything substantial on my scans. This cycle continued for several months until I finally came to the painful conclusion that I just had to quit for a long time. Didn't swing a club for nearly three years and had to rebuild a new swing that would put less strain on my back just to be safe. Didn't get to defend my titles, and no college golf for me.
