Great episode. Hope you can do more longer episodes like that. Decision making on attempt 2 was inspiring.

I mean I too hope I can do longer episodes as it definitely presents far more of an opportunity and challenge as a storyteller. But at the same time, in order to keep a feature length episode entertaining, it usually takes something in reality like what we experienced with Split and that isn't something I necessarily would like to repeat too often. But thanks for all the props guys, it was definitely one of my favorite stories to put together and favorite episodes in the end.
Stoked for another season. Was going to give split a go in 05, didn't happen. The Sierra is huge!
Beauty episode.
Echoing what has been said above: When you guys booted back out of the line after dropping in on the second attempt was the best part for me.

Bravo!
Really enjoyed that one, Cody!
Congrats to you & the team!
Good stuff!
Ill paraphrase this episode...
One more time, with feeling!
I think it may be your best? really great observations of situational decision making....
I mean the skiing(riding) when it happened was great but this was definitely not about skiing...
Was totally gripped. Good stuff
Great movie. And i thought the skiing was pretty good

That feeling of standing already pretty committed of top of a line, thinking about it really really hard, and turning back. That one hit. At least you got a nice consolation prize on that attempt. The pad thai was a nice closer.

Best episode yet, thanks for bringing us along Cody. My palms were sweaty, I have chills running down my back, it was truly awesome. I hope every aspiring ski mountaineer watches your teams decision making and learns to listen.

What a way to start the season, Bravo.
Everything about that was 10/10. It really captures the challenge.
Like others said, that moment of climbing back out was excellent to see. SO hard to actually do that when gravity and inertia (and maybe one of your party) pull the other way. 2x Trailer Park Boys references was also a highlight.
Looked like there was a dozen or so decent turns? [emoji16]
Your decision making skills are on point! Showing the fails was inspiring and then knocking it off was an epic win! Congrats!
It's amazing to see how Cody and Bjarne have grown as storytellers over the 5yrs. I'd be interested to revisit some of those Season 1/2 lines with the storytelling skills they have now.
Long way to say, thanks for bringing the stoke Alka! You deserve all the memeing fame you've achieved.
I'd echo everything said above about the episode and decision making, but major props to Nick for being totally fine with bailing and walking out when he was the most committed. Maybe there was some discussion off camera, but having a partner that essentially just says "cool, I'll head up" in that situation seems like a rare thing.
That was awesome. Thank you.

Type 2 stuff. Great movie.
Great film. My 8 year old watched the whole thing with me.
22:00-29:00 would be valuable in most any rec avalanche class curriculum. It's the most engaging example of why you put a Plan B in your trip plan, and how to make the hard call.
Kudos. Just solidifying this as one of the all time great ski films/projects.
+1 on a great episode, possibly my favorite. Those decisions and effort are what make it fun and rewarding. I could hear so many of the conversations I've had over the years in your discussions. We probably could have skied the Grand the 2nd time I tried, but it was dangerous and also way less skiing than it should have in a decent year. It was ultimately so much more rewarding to ski it last spring in much better and safer conditions. Backing off a time or three makes the ultimate success feel so much more rewarding more often than not.
