SnowMachine-Have you considered the Countach 110 for what youre looking for? I love that ski in wind blown snow when its a little firmer and chalky conditions.

Anyone ever had luck buying a single ski from moment? Lost a one-eighty seven Meridian today at Jackson and I’m feeling pretty pouty about it as they’re my fav ski

Send us an email to info@momentskis.com with a picture of the entire topsheet of the ski you still have, and we will check the back for ya.

SAME.

Skied them in Japan for the last 5 days, had a wild range of conditions. Went from full on sunny t shirt spring like conditions to an all-time dump and the DW just killed it all. Seriously makes me reconsider having so many skis (maybe).

To update, I had the 194 GTs remounted at -2cm from suggested (-7cm overall from true center).
Ski was completely different and in all the good ways for me.
Was able to push harder towards the front and carry more speed, more confidently than before.
Post-pow/slop performance greatly improved.
Same thing when skiing waist deep pow.

For reference, 5'10" on a good hair day, 220 lbs.

Also for reference, I've never enjoyed any of the more centerly suggested mounted Moments in the past.
Going back a decade, I had the 190 Bibbys at -7 when I think the suggested was -5.

I have had DW tour 112s for a few seasons now and while I love them some of the time I don't think they float all that great in deep snow and don't handle crud or variable super great. But everyone says the regular DW is a beast that'll handle whatever you throw at it. Wondering if it's just me or what... Just picked up some Ravens and already loving them way more for anything variable or with a wind crust. Obviously also not the best floaters in deep fresh snow but they seem to hold their own pretty well.
I have owned 2 pairs of DW 112s and one DWT112.. I found the DWT a bit better in powder than the regular weight. Maybe it's the softer flex, but it ssems to plane up earlier and is easier in tight trees or slower speeds. Regular weight is more stable and much better in varible conditions and chop, but still more playfull than chargy. I now use a DWT 104 as my everyday touring ski and a more dedicated powder ski (different brand) for deeper days. The 104 tour is a bit stronger in chop and easier on icy uptracks. Float is acceptable. The dedicated powder ski stronger and floats better than the DW112, but I don't use it as often as I used the 112. Inbounds, I also replaced the 112 with the 104 and use the Wildcat 116 on deeper days. The wildcat is a better chop ski than the DW112 and floats a bit better. It feels much bigger though, despite the dimensions being somewhat similar. The wildcat "feels" like a 116 ski, the DW112 feels like a smaller ski,

I would note that I mounted the DW112 (tour and full weight) 1 cm behind rec (or whatever the triangle behind centre is). I have tried the line and 1 cm back feels more intuitive to me. This might help a touch with float. DW104 is mounted on the line (which is further back anyway).

Putting out feelers for selling a pair of 190cm Deathwish 104s.

I love all my Moment skis but I find myself skiing these less than they deserve.

Mounted once with Pivot 12s for a 305mm BSL Willing to sell with or without the bindings.

Just got back from a super solid day at Vail with pockets of knee/thigh deep snow.
The Ghost Trains absolutely slayed it.
If there was ever a 1-ski quiver with a 126mm waist, the 194 GT with a -2 mount from suggested has to be in that discussion.

Absoultely RAILS everything soft.
Incredible in the bumps ... just so pivoty but stable all at once.
Kills the soft hardpack. There is a speed limit, but it is considerably very very high.
Possibly my favorite Moment ski and I've probably been on 20+ different models over the years.
Was laughing my ass off all morning into the afternoon ... just pure fucking fun on these.

I gotta say, after spending more time on the DW104, I'm a little disappointed in the suspension. I'll probably be looking for a Countach104 next year to replace it. It's pretty good in the mornings but as the day goes on I feel like I want the Countach 110 dampness.

I believe I rode up the gondola with you this morning, blue jacket? I was eyeing those GTs first in line

Yep, that was me!

I got 5 or 6 laps in Shangri La Trees.. absolutely FILTHY in there. Consistent knee/thigh deep. I took the catwalk high up a long the boundary then ducked in.

Hope your day was awesome too.

No complaints, skied with the wife for a few then went to the back. The wind worked its magic, 5 inches turned into a couple feet in several spots. Incredible week so far.

About your DW104s, I can guarantee you won't have trouble unloading them. If I didnt already have the 102 Commanders, I would totally buy those from you.

Yeah, not totally sold on them yet. I have time to figure it out I just don't like them as much as the Countach 110s so far and wish I had those with me this week. I have my 190 Wildcats with me this week as well, might just stick with them for the rest of the week. Theyre better in chop and 3d. Theres so much fucking snow in Vail right now, my god what a cycle. More coming Thursday night too!

Today was such a giga sleeper day. Also helped not having anyone on the mountain.
I haven't been on the CT 110s, but I have to believe they would be perfect for these conditions.
Tomorrow will be TBD for me ... I could easily go to Beav if they get 4-6" and just lap Stone Creek... but we'll see.

Probably can't do wrong at either V or BC tomorrow. What a beautiful 10 day storm cycle it's been.
Makes the 2+ week dry speel in late Jan/early Feb all worth it.

Curious, what makes you think the Count104 will be more damp than the DW104? They both have the same construction and the DW at 190 weighs a little bit more than the Count at 188.

I think given the more rearward mount point and longer effective edge that gives better feelings of stability that some will for lack of articulation call dampness

I dont know if the CT104 will be more damp but Id like to find out. I guess you can call it whatever you would like, slightly flat under foot I was getting feedback that I do not get with CT 110. My 110 is also 194, so that might play a part in the ride quality and may not translate to the CT104.

Certainly could be the case and maybe its not the right ski for me or maybe Ill learn to like it. It didnt feel unstable to me, Im talking about what I was feeling in my feet, although Ive never been able to articulate at an elite level like some here can.

I'm not good at it either
