So happy. Once I get out to Reno again going to have moment install the cast
Wildcat 108s are fun! Was afraid I made the wrong choice going 108 over 118, but 108s are super versatile and beefy enough to charge
Yeah. I’m 6’2” 225lbs.
These skis are very stable feeling for how lightweight they are. Stiff in all the right places with great suspension in the very tips/tails. Beefy enough to feel damp enough for me.
Been daily driving 191 Katana 108s lately, and the 190 Wildcat 108s feel better going straight actually. WCs feel like true 25m radius to me, which is perfect. They don’t do anything unless told, nothing unexpected, but they also aren’t too long legged to dance a little bit. Speed limit isn’t ridiculously far off the big Katanas either.
They are super predictable on edge and feel thinner edge to edge than Katana 108. Not quite as “grippy” as Katanas but close, and they feel grippier than I remember PB&Js feeling. They remind me a lot of Blizzard Gunsmokes, just thinner. Current core materials definitely feel different than 2019 Wildcat, and I like it.
I’ve skiied Bibbys, different years of PB&Js, 2019 Wildcats and now these 108s… the 108s are the most different feeling of this design, but not in a bad way by any means.
ya I’ve been thinking about adding a 101 as well in a tad shorter length strictly for trees.
also thinking about adding a countach since I’m pretty open after 108.
have a wish 112 then the cat 118 and then a ghost train 126.
so I’m really missing a ski in the 110 range.
currently have commander 98, blades at 99, wish 104 and cat 108. So I dont need the 101 more than the 110 at the moment.
Night laps with my boys. Oldies but goodies.

Oh man, finally got out on the dwts for a big guided tour today. Hit the most vert I've ever done and it felt great. Downhill was instantly comfortable and confident (my DD is dw104). The tails are a little tough to work around on kick turns but worth it for the enjoyment of everything else. Big fan!
Back to back WC108/Countach testing in soft snow bumps:
I bought into Countach thinking it would push out WC with a boost in pow performance, but I've made a grave error: So far, I love them both. And they are both f*cking awesome.
WC is a touch quicker in bumps as expected. Maching around they feel like the same ski, I can lean a -little- harder on the Countach (the Count?) Very, very similar. Patches of unexpected hardpack ice are easier to counter on WC, as expected. Small rock drops the jury's still out on what I'd rather land on. WC has a little more tail to lean on and dump speed easier with little moves, Count feels a little more confident just riding the runout
I will say that the Countachs came from the factory pretty sharp, and require slightly more mindful turn initiation and a more active driver.
I think between the two the choice is going to come down to how often you expect to get a refresh and how open your terrain is. Less room to run, less frequent storms>WC. Regular refreshes, open terrain, I think I reach for the Countach.
The above is useful. Do you have any experience on the DW that you could compare? I want to buy the countach mostly for no reason lol. I'm still not sure if it compliments an inbounds quiver of DW 104, DW112, and Ghost Train or replaces the 112. I think I need to just demo and find out.
Been using DWs as a DD for 5 seasons now, and have always wished they were slightly more directional/better in untracked. I sense a Countach in my future.
I mostly tour to find the goods after decent snow days so I'm not really looking for anything lighter/skinnier than the DWT. If I was looking at longer days and more unknown/questionable snow I might have considered the DW104T more but I already have my DW104 CASTed so that'd still feel like a lot of overlap despite the weight difference.
I think it comes down to whether you like progressive mounts, whether you like triple camber. Love it for very specific use cases, not for most others. Otherwise for soft/pow days give me a mount at -8 or 9 add some backbone hold the metal most days and I'm a happy boy. Like when I saw the dims before production I was like "that's it, that's the ski I've been waiting for them to make"
If/when they come up with a touring Countach I will be first in line...
Also curious on the Countach. Currently skiing the MFree108 192 and coming from the Woods110 192. My wishes are either a longer MFree108 195ish or more taper on the back end of the Woods 110/108. I suppose I should look at the longer effective edge of the 194 Countach and conclude that this isn't the ski but anybody have time on either of the others? Looking for something around -8 to -9 mount.
I figured I oughta share my Moment stoke with y'all... and since there's no snow what else is there to do?! Picked up a pair of the new Meridians and painted a pair of pivots to match (Inspired by https://crasheur.com/)

Yeah, but I think you could do it on any color. It's pretty easy, after disassembly I sanded them 150-220 grit then masked the heel arms and painted with 3-4 coats of Montana spray paint in pink and 3-4 coats of clear. Paint is pretty fragile, but so is the factory paint. Pro tip: Mask off the din window so you don't lose your lines like I did. Hardest part is getting the heel apart.
