This is a potential consideration of spots to tick off and visit on my new places to go list for a little bc shrederrrry and off piste to piss about on. Cheers and jeers homies!

Give us a heads up when you plan to visit. There's a hard & fast rule: First timer at the Windy Hill buys the first round of beer. Thanks in advance

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh shizznit! Sounds like I'm in for a pounding...a good one at that. Lay it on me...paaaaaahlease! Beers for all and for my potential tears of joy or errr pain perhaps too. I got the first round no problem and then some too. Safety meeting perhaps also.

I plan in the prime time landing. If it is not up to snuff snow wise I will be off to another spot instead. I have been cornholing the cash away for a good season of adventures this time around. thanks for the comment.

Definitely worth a visit, I've had some great pow days there!

Some of the videos I have watched this evening has shown me it has great snow potential at times.

I doubt this will be a season worth visiting mission ridge. I could be wrong but moderate El Nino doesn't normally make for amazing coverage at place that isn't really known for big snowfall.

I skied at Mission a few times when I lived in the area many years ago. It’s a nice, family friendly place, geared mainly for intermediate & beginners. There’s not a lot of super challenging runs, at least in bounds. Maybe the back country changes that. There wasn’t much talk about back country skiing back when I was there.

It tends to get more sunshine, but less snow than other nearby areas. But when it does get snow, it tends to be a drier power snow. So if you hit it right after a dump it can be great. But like everywhere else, the powder gets skied out quickly. But again, there are probably stashed in the back country that last a little longer.

Fairly cheap lift tickets, and shorter lines than many of the other areas. But i had a hard time justifying the extra drive time from where I lived. But, definitely worth a visit.

Nah. There's lots of steep challenging runs when there's ample snow cover.

True but longish fall line powder runs can be fun too. You do need to hike to get the best skiing though, although it is still inbounds.

True. When Mission is bad, it's the worst. Like unskiable crust on top of rotten windpack with no visibility and 50 mph winds. When Mission is good, in my experience its some of best skiing I've ever had. Long fun runs in blower powder through gladed forest and open bowls.

Also the snow getting tracked out is only really on the main runs off chair 2. If you are willing to hike/skate/sidestep or just poke around a tiny bit you can ski inbounds powder a week after a storm.
