LOL at the people who leave a big bowl of candy unattended on their porch because they are too lazy to get off their ass to answer the door and be neighborly then get upset when people take the whole bowl of candy. calling them bad neighbors..

^^^^ LOL is right. Just got the attached email yesterday. I was driving the truck, this is in a area of minimal kids, our kids group is basically it. All acreage properties with long driveways so they pile in the back of my truck.

I stole some this morning. I am more of a sour gummie guy, not enough gummies in there but I think they are happy. They did lose their candy bags for 2 days because of their "greediness" ....

Damn but I do love Snickers, especially frozen.
I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

Left a bowl on the porch while we were out with the kids. No one took the whole thing, presumably because their parents raised them to not be assholes.

To much candy in my house right now.

^^^When our kids first started trick/treating, Ms TBS started the Halloween Fairy tradition.

The kids got to keep like 6 pieces, the rest were left for the Halloween Fairy, who would in turn leave them a toy.

We would then freeze the Fairy’s take and use for next Halloween

They are apologizing to Darlene in person and have lost their candy for a while in addition to getting an earful from Mom last night. Like I mentioned they are pretty much the only kids in the entire neighbour hood who go trick or treating here. Certainly not raising any assholes.

WTF, a teenager can't even steal unattended bowl of candy anymore. I remember leaving a bowl out when I was about 25 because I was getting high with a friend. That bowl was empty in 3 minutes and my friend looks at me and says WTF did you think was going to happen ?
I don't know what anyone here would have done at age 10-13 BUT I know would have taken more than my fair share of the unattended candy.

Regardless of the situation or your lame ass rationalizations, thinking you are entitled to as much as you want at the expense of everyone else is a long term life strategy for becoming a loser, a criminal, an asshole, and possibly all three.

11 year olds are hardly weighing the consequences of their actions.. for kids coming behind them, or for the fact that the Ring cam is on. It's all just a funny joke to them.. Adults are just plain dumbasses though.

I usually go out so leave a bowl of goodies. Sometimes it is gone AF but this year people were on good behavior. But is trick or treat so you take your chances.

But the parents in that video? No bueno. Terrible example set for their crotch-fruit.

It seems the key factor is how many kids after your group went away empty-handed - Darlene should know since she has the footage.

But the Reddit vid gives me an idea. If you set out an unattended bowl, add a sign

“Happy Halloween! Enjoy the candy. Please take just one - respect those coming after you.

We will post a highlight reel from our security camera on the Facebook Community Page tomorrow so be sure to smile”

You should have looked her dead in the eye while eating a piece of her candy and said "I have no idea what you are talking about. We were out of town at the time... bla bla .."
