White as rice privilege here. And I'm from VT:

Dude. Yer light. 2 more mags for the nine on your person. Plus a S&W 638 with two spare speedloaders. In the car you need 10 more 9mm mags, 20 more mags for the MCX, 7 more speedloaders for the 638, plus a tactical 870 with full side-saddle half slugs and #4 shot. Plus two 50 round 12 ga bandoliers with a color coded mix of slugs, 00 buck and #4. A box each of #6 and #2 in case you get stranded and need to hunt for food. And a brick each of all of the above. This is just your daily around town, going to do errands loadout. There's more, a lot more that needs to be back at the crib.
Better have a bunker with its own well, solar, generator, at least a year of dehydrated and canned food, and air purifier. Don’t forget the gas masks. Bunker better be at least 5 meters below grade with an air lock. Then you will probably want some seeds so you can grow crops after the apocalypse. Maybe some agricultural tools too. And a woman or two.
lol if you don’t think lws has a bunker
This came on this morning and made me think of this thread.

2 or 3 people killed by Wolves since 1900 in North America.
Not, 2 or 3 per year, 2 or 3 total...in the last 120 years.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List..._North_AmericaBut I did come across statistics that help place those two wolf-related fatalities in a different light.
The National Canine Research Council reported 41 confirmed or potential fatal dog attacks in 2014 and 32 verified fatalities in 2013.
Records at the International Hunter Education Association show that during one six-year period 265 people died in hunting accidents.
An article from The Interstate Sportsman reports that each year in this country 1,500 to 1,800 people drown, and 800 to 875 die in boating accidents.
Dog attacks, drowning, and hunting and boating accidents claim far more lives than wolves have or ever will.
Wiki has it at 10 people killed by wolves in the last 120 years.
So, according to the "logic" put forth by gun totin' he-roes, in order to protect people's lives we should actually be shooting, or "culling", hunters, dogs, boats, and swimming pools instead of wolves.

Well sure, but if you cross reference Wolf Attacks and Alpine Touring (and Adams Mountain), you just might generate a data point.
In search of the elusive artic powder weasel ...
Serious question here.. If one or maybe two rounds can solve 99.9999% of "social problems" that intelligent, tactful words and retreating can't then why do so many keep enough firepower handy to take out a couple dozen people? Is it just me, or do folks just feel it's nice to know we have the power to do that should they suddenly feel the need to do so??
Go that way really REALLY fast. If something gets in your way, TURN!
Obvious troll is obvious....
This troll has a 9 with three ten round magazines. Haven't felt the need to carry it anywhere but the range once though.
At home a semi auto 22 with a 25 round magazine and two ten round magazines. A 12 gauge pump with the 3 shell block removed and a stash of way more ammo than I'll ever need unless a war breaks out.
Your turn...

So there’s a few gun folks on here and have a good handgun stash at home. How do you keep it at home? General safe with the hunting guns? Bedside safe or do you keep it under the pillow along with a big knife and throwing stars?
Grew up hunting and always had a gun safe but everything stayed in there, nothing anywhere else in the house and doing so scares me with kids.
