Anyone have an unused Hestra pro-form?

I haven't worked in a shop for a few years and am in need of new gloves. I tried FTP but wasn't happy with the fit.

The Hestra prosite used to be extremely generous but my login credentials are no longer valid. I would be happy to compensate with beer$$ or that sort of thing. Feel free to PM.

if you can't find a code, odds are this is similar pricing (if you can find size/model)

Soooo do you actually deserve a code?

Work in a shop? Work within the industry?

See the OP, it's been a few years since I qualified due to the fine print. The shop I used to work at has helped me since I left but had their space bought out from them and closed. Perhaps times have changed but I remember reps handing out codes like they were candy.

I mostly keep a low profile around these parts but do what I can to contribute to the community. I'm currently asking for a favor, you're welcome to review my public posts and decide if I'm deserving.

Odds are I have an OR code soon. The gloves fit similar (small in OR vs 8 in hestra)

PM me if you want that?

No dis on GhostHop, I get all kinds of hookup for basically no reason at all other than I help with some avalanche awareness classes and have lived around the same ski area most of my life.

That said, if anybody wonders why we have close to zero small time ski shops and ski areas have a hard time hiring people who ain't shootin' heroin in the top shack, this is it. Between discount ski passes and half price equipment and gear available to anyone, there is no incentive to work at these places.

That's the point, why would you pay the dues. Between Experticity, Outdoor Prolinks, STP, Steep & Cheap and summer sales the average guy on the street can get kitted out for about the same price as a ski shop or ski area employee.

I just purchased a new Marmot outfit on S&C (fully returnable and refundable) for less that the pro-price which honestly don't think I should be entitled to but I am. My IKON Base pass which offers more high quality skiing than anyone with a job could do in a season cost about $600.

We all better be OK with paying full price for mounts and tunes as we don't really by much other than socks from traditional retailers.

Bingo. I teach once a week for 4 hours and get all the benefits I need/want. I may not get as good a deal as shop form pricing, but it's good enough.

This is the sort of thing that resonates. There is a discussion that is much greater than only the ski industry about the benefits to those who provide service to others. No amount of material goods will compensate for a lack of honest enthusiasm.

To everyone that reached out, hope to ski ya IRL sooner rather than later.
