Have one coming from Amazon so I'll report back about the dog funk unless I drop dead from breathing in too much Ozone.

    Kill all the telemarkers
But they’ll put us in jail if we kill all the telemarkers

Oh we can do that. We don’t even need a reason

You really want some old race stock slalom skis ? I ran the thing for about an hour and it still has a faint smell I think. I'll have to give it another sniff tomorrow but it seems quite a bit better.

It helped quite a bit but not a miracle cure for pet odor. Used it in my kids room after she left for college and it worked well.

Over achiever kid but a fucking filthy animal....Left the room smelly and dirty. Shampooed the rug, let it dry and ran the ozone machine for an hour to deodorize.

Seems legit. My daughter is back for year 2. I use her bedroom for an office when she's away. It wasn't that bad. Everything was covered in dust though.

Will it get rid of perfume? Had a friend come stay and two days later, even with the windows wide open and all the linens cleaned, I can't get rid of the stench of her perfume. I've got another friend coming tomorrow. Hope she doesn't choke to death on it.

Pulling this back up. I have a few guitar amps that need to be ozone blasted - great amps but smell like old bars and vape juice. Initial trial run went really well. however, there's a bunch of fear mongers out there that say that since ozone can damage rubber the ozone will fuck up the speaker surrounds and foam. Others say it's absolutely fine for a few hours and won't do anything.

I know that ozone technically will mess rubber up after long exposure, but I can't find anyone who has seen an actually problem with normal treatments. Anyone got any info? These are nice amps. I'd rather not disintegrate them.

Ozone works wonders for odors, but I have absolutely seen them turn plastics to goo. At least sticky. I say go for it anyway and like you said, maybe it's not the worst thing in the world if you're just doing it for a while, but worst case be prepared to swap some components. Speakers, foam, and such are generally really easy to swap. It's the box itself you're probably most interested in preserving anyway, right?

I don't have specific experience with speakers (besides in cars), but I've used ozone with rubber stuff before and not had issues. I think in general it's related to the level of ozone produced and length of exposure. I'd suggest short 30-60min exposures at a time, with a good air out afterwards and see how the de-odorizing goes. It's kinda tough because the "ozone smell" lingers for a while, so it's hard to know initially if you've really got the odors out. But try a cycle or two and let it air out for a few days and see where you're at. From my experience with vehicles, building interiors and fire remediation - ozone does the trick.

Actually the box is the least important thing. It's the tube amp portion, which I think will be fine, and the speakers. Nice guitar amp speakers are stupidly expensive.

Can you give more detail on what you've seen get fried by ozone?

Used it often in high end hotels to get rid of smoke smell and general funk in rooms.
    Those are big machines though.
    But they work

They ozone cars. Ex smokers etc.
plenty of plastic and rubber there.

But I would be hesitant to do a speaker. That rubber falls apart just with age.
If you ozone I would pull the speaker first.

Febreeze? All the cool rock and rollers want to smell like fresh laundry.

Or maybe some burning sage in the back of the cabinet.
Or a few drops of patchouli oil.

Rented a STR from Big Sky. It was for an Asst. Patrol Dir. bachelor party. Rule # 1, no smoking, of anything. We had it on a Friday night with a 3:00 check in scheduled for Saturday.

About 8 pm when things were really getting interesting, like shots, strippers and the groom to be at AOx2 out of 4 and grinding on the stripper while clad in only his tighty whitey briefs, I was out in the Garage smoking a cigar. The company GM was present and he asked for a cigar, I gave him one and he asked why we were in the garage? I mentioned that Jeannie (Hotel manager) has forbid us from smoking inside. His response? Fuck Jeannie I'm the GM. So we went inside and the party continued as a smoking event.

Next am I get a call from Jeannie freaking out, the place is kinda trashed and stinks of cigars, its 10:00 and check in is 5 hours away.

I assured her the patrol fund would cover any and all damages and cleaning fees. Crew showed up with assorted implements of cleaning or mass destruction and a couple of those ionizers and by 2:45 you would never know anyone had ever stayed in that condo.

I would like to think that Jeannie and I could look back and laugh about it. Not a chance. Thanks McGregor.

No idea how they effect plastic or rubber.

And thus began the "Big Sky Baby Boom of '98." There was always that one unusually large group of Ophir kids. Now we know why.

I have this one. I've used it a few times in our home office to fumigate tents and other outdoor gear. Works a treat. The rest of the office hasn't disintegrated yet, though I wouldn't want to be in the room with it when it's running.
