I don't know if this data point helps, but working this backwards, I asked Keith what he thought of a custom, skinny (-10) GPO vs. a BC. He commented that if I like the GPO, that I'd probably have a marginal preference for the BC as opposed to a custom, skinny GPO - that sizing down doesn't translate perfectly. The two would be very close, but the extra money spent on the -10 option wouldn't have much (if any) return.
Now, having said that, the year before, I got a +10 GPO (126mm under foot) and it skis just as I'd expect - like a wider GPO. Well, Keith endorsed that idea, which is why I took the chance.
So, I'm thinking that you'd get what you like from the BC, out of a GPO. I have no experience with the FRS.
