Got my package delivered today, pics to follow.

Fresh GPO for me and custom 163 Protests for the girl. Holy SHIT the new Protest rocker profile looks like $$$$$$. I'm jealous. These things are going to crush.

What is the new Protest rocker profile?

    ETA
*** New for this year we have implemented our new stage two rocker profile into the Protest. The rocker line has been adjusted to rise slightly higher and faster giving the ski more pivot and float well better matching the rocker profile to the modified 5 point sidecuts tip and tail tapers.
    Anyone got rocker profile pics?

This is on the custom ski page, but the file is labeled as 2022 Protest - so maybe not current

I'll post some pics when I get home. but I think Keith made that change last year so 2022 makes sense (22/23)

    Great rocker pic!

What's the theory on showing decambered pair to show rocker? Showing what it will look like in a turn? But we'll all push it deeper into the flex in 3D snow than it can push into the other ski (when against another ski, flat is as deep as you can get)...

Yeah or even when I just stand on it what the full profile looks like. There's only a touch of camber so it didn't expand too much when brought together clean. I honestly didn't think about the logic much just grabbed the strap and did it.

Anyone know how much stock vs heavy hitter affects the overall weight of a ski like the 184 piste jib? How about veneer vs regular top sheets?

Any of you spent time on the MVP 94? Looking for something a little more carvy, but doesn’t mind some off piste. Also any chance you could toss a photo of the rocker profile up?

Wow, those topsheets are tremendous! I had no idea that graphic would come out so nice.

Look like really fun lines, too. I didn't expect to see that much splay.

Oh ok, i was thinking 108's. I loved my piste jibs(the 99 underfoot predecesor) but i really like the looks of that rocker/splay on yours. I wasnt expecting that on the 94's. Theyll be a hoot no doubt

Ha! These 94's are actually the wife's new skis. I ordered myself a pair of custom 108's back in the spring:

I got so excited by mine when the wife said she wanted a new daily driver I jumped on Keith's fall sale. We sort of match now.

Oh thats right. I remember now. Pics confirm it was a good call at the same time reinforcing my terrible call at not getting the 108 i kept looking at. It'll have to wait til next year. I'll be tuning in to see how everyones mount points are comparing to the older ones and the same on the new protest rocker

    Any thoughts on mount point?

I'm thinking of mounting the BCs on the line or maybe -.5 (so, -8 or -8.5 from center). I like my GPOs at -1 to -1.5.

    BC: Recommended mount point @ -8, tip/tail taper 30/17
    GPO: Recommended mount point @ -7, tip/tail taper 34/20

    ... Thom
I've had a couple pair of 190 BC over the years, both mounted on the line with pin bindings. They are awesome. Always ski well. Predictable in everything I've skied from pow to unlikable pnw hardpack / ice.

Anyone have an opinion on GPO vs FRS? 192/194 size. I see folks like the GPO for sure... Not much on the FRS?
