Conditions around Bellingham are still really good. Not dry and dusty at all and no breaking bumps. Flowers blooming.

Nice foxgloves
Rode Freund today, a little dry but not dusty at all. Fast and flowy as usual.
👍
It was a backcountry mini-summit like days of yore on Kachess. Roughly half of WA riders appeared to be shuttling that day but we did it the old fashioned way. Significantly more sweat was produced compared to winter exploits but a fine time was had with minimal carnage of the fleshy or mechanical variety.

Goat Creek near Morton/MSH is real nice right now.
Rode Brown Mountain on my way through OR on Thursday. Really fun ride, and lush compared to UT- thanks for the rec.
Nice ChainWhip!
Galbraith is forever, now.

Anyone ventured up or down Deep Creek in 410 since early July?
Never mind, had to go see for myself. Everything else in that area is good to go. Deep Creek was destroyed. Totally destroyed.

If interested... The full album from yesterday's Deep Creek memorial service.

There is currently a fire near Cutthroat Lake by Washington Pass so the Cutthroat Pass ride is currently closed. Hopefully it fairs a bit better than Deep Creek did.
I don't have a lot of experience in wild fire country, so those photos are pretty shocking to see. Let's hope for unexpected rain in August.
