Omak Valley Area: Own a Piece of History! The old Conconully Ranger Station can be yours!
The Forest Service is auctioning six buildings and 0.78 acre of land known as the Conconully Work Center. Formerly known as the Conconully Ranger Station, the Work Center is in the town of Conconully, Washington. Located at 405 Main Street, between Boone Street and Lake Street, adjacent to existing residences and commercial properties.
The Work Center is surrounded by fence and has six on-site buildings: the former Ranger Station office, a bunkhouse, a warehouse, a barn with adjoined corral and loading chute, a gas and oil house, and a paint storage shed. The land the Work Center sits on was acquired by the Forest Service in 1928. The buildings in existence today were constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s.
