Gynecologist friend made me a pussy hat and in her words: “It’s not as bright pink as some I’ve seen, but I can tell you with confidence that it is closer to the actual uterine color.”

    The foibles of statistics.

The secret to living to 110? Bad record-keeping, researcher says

...Newman's research, which is currently being peer-reviewed, looked at data about centenarians and supercentenarians -- people who live to 100 and 110 -- in the United States, Italy, England, France and Japan.
Contrary to what one might expect, he found that supercentenarians tended to come from areas with poor health, high levels of poverty -- and bad record-keeping.

The true secret to extreme longevity seems to be to "move where birth certificates are rare, teach your kids pension fraud and start lying", Newman said as he accepted an Ig Nobel prize, a humorous version of the Nobel, in September...

Call me old fashioned, but I feel like school mottos should be for the students not the staff.

Fukn brilliant. Here in NY the big thing is subway surfing. It seems like once a week another kid dies.

    Things That Amuse You

Today had an install ticket where the customer wanted a “center” mount on a Nordica Enforcer One Hundred (damn emoji virus). Ranks right up there with the center mount Volkl Mantra request last year…lol.

Had to call him/ and I asked him if he knew what they meant?…did he really want this ski mounted true center? and he said/ …..but everyone mounts true center…..lol..oh boy..

I did “persuade” him that the recommended line might be a little better for him/this ski..…lol…he thanked me/ for letting him know the advantages/disadvantages of mounting lines…and what it does for the ski/skier.

Today was amusing…..Xmas rush and all the grizzly moms wanting their kids stuff “now”.

I was stuck behind a car for a good 30 miles in the left lane on the highway today. It was annoying, but, it was a Saturn, with temp tags meaning they had just bought it, which was highly amusing, and explained their extremely poor driving skills. I'm going to hell if the guy really is retarded I guess.
