I find this phenomenon simultaneously amusing and annoying (only annoying cuz they talk smack), but it seems that this is literally EVERY "early bird" person I've known...

Reminds me also how every "RISE AND GRIND!" a-hole bragging on social media about their 3AM wakeup routine's key to success or "life hack" if you will, is going to bed earlier than the rest of us. Hey, buddy. You're not doing anything special. You're just taking time from one end and tacking it onto the other. LMAO!

In all fairness, it is possible to get a lot more shit done early morning when you aren't getting interrupted a million times because no one else is up. It's pretty satisfying getting half a days work done by 9am.

But NOT as satisfying as sleeping in until 7.

It is when I go to bed at 10.

    As always, YMMV.

Not gonna argue with that, but why stop at 7am? Sleeping in til 9 is waaaay more satisfying than 7. (I'm normally a night owl, not an early riser)

I would, but it just doesn't seem to be in the cards. Apparently 9 hours is a sufficient amount of sleep for my needs.

Also, i cant grumpily sneer at the slackers rolling into work at 8am if im not up and 2 cups of coffee in by 6.

Really though, i like early because i dont like people so i can be super productive all jacked on caffeine with no one to impeded me, and then become less and less productive throughout the day. If i am super productive late, i find it difficult to fall asleep afterwards cause ive just been rushing around. So, its really just a more efficient use of my time to be up early and bang out the busy hyper productive part of my day first instead of at the end when i want to fall asleep soon.

Ms TBS tells me there’s a “movement” for gentiles to light a menorah this Chanukah season to show support for Jewish peeps in these troubled times.

I’m also seeing a lot of white women wearing keffiyehs

I have the opposite schedule, I roll in at 10:30am and by 3:30pm when all the early risers have gone home I can bang out 3 solid hours of uninterrupted work. I can't really focus or motivate for work until 2pm anyway, regardless of how early I get up. Makes for great mid-week pow days with skiing from 6am to 2pm then working from 3pm to 9pm. Full day on snow, mostly full day at work.

If I could show up for work at 2pm I'd love it. Work from then til ten or 11pm. And ride bikes in the morning. I get tons done in the evening after everyone else leaves for the day. And with lots of co workers on the east coast things get quiet after 2. Sucks working out here sometimes showing up at 8 and your inbox is already full of shit you have to deal with before you can even get into the stuff on your to-do list. That's why showing up at 4-5 is nice when you can actually make it happen... you can pretend to ignore everyone else til 8 or 9 and just power through stuff. But it only takes a late night or two to sabotage any thoughts of getting up early.

We got maybe 3-4 inches last night and all I can hear is grinding and back up beeps. Jebus, are we creating a front range snowmageddon clip or are all of you plow folks just itching to charge?

Ive been seeing women and hipsters wearing keffiyehs as scarves for years and years. It is literally just a patterned scarf. Now, if they were wearing it over their head like a hijab, that would be one thing, but id bet TBS is talking about them being worn as standard neckwrap scarf things.

Dont you have kids? or are they out of the house now?

Having kids also makes me an early riser. junior is up at 630 every day, and goes down at 8 so being an early bird means i get to spend the afternoons/evening with him. I suppose i could be productive after he goes to sleep, but needing to get up by 6am everyday makes late nights really difficult.

He's got a brand new infant. He's speaking of these "mid-week pow days" nostalgically, at this point.

Selfie taking tourists cause gondola to capsize. Amusing sidebar - Venice had to reduce max headcount in the gondolas due to overweight tourists.
