What model and year of Dynafit binding is it?

Got a pair of skis that come with Dynafit binding, but I am wondering what kind of binding is it.
    Anyone know?

    Thx!

Looks like a comfort or vertical with a b&d modification for the heal

Dynafit Vertical FT12 with a custom B&D top piece on the heel. A great binding.

A great binding when the power plates are installed to support the sections of toe piece chassis that holds the clamping jaws. Pre release issues otherwise.

Is this also true with the Radical FT 1.0? Didn't bother mounting the plates on my GF's skis, and she did have one prerelease that almost resulted in a lost ski.

I've seen many of these in use, my own included, without the power towers and zero issues.

no. Radical had dif toe piece and no need as Dfit changes the hinge point or better supported of something, but regardless: no.

And for the OP, those are the updated version with the heavier springs for better retention in ski mode. I have the first issue with the silver springs: again zero issues.

Don't know if we're talking about the same thing, I never heard them referred to as towers. I'm talking about these, my ft12's were hopeless without them... Cheap and easy fix.

Yeah, FT12 with B&D heel top plate and B&D volcano.

Dynafit issued the power plates (for free) because the wings hung over the original (too narrow) base plate and were prone to fatiguing, cracking and catastrophic failure. Here's Lou's take: https://www.wildsnow.com/4371/dynafit-breakage-ft-to/ I fixed mine by using an old Comfort toe plate.

I forgot about the overhang issue. I had preemptively bought a couple vertical St toe piece plates and no issues to report

    Yep, that's them.

My take with the supporting power plates is that you might not know you needed them until it's too late to discover, either by a pre release in a bad spot or a failure as in the above linked wildsnow article. They're only a few bucks and can keep you out of misery.
