Mounting 2016 Pro 115s.
To avoid old holes I can mount +1 or -1.

I’d naturally go +one as I have on many of their models

Stormrider peeps:

I've got a pair of 2007 193cm Stormrider DP Pros with Look Racing 14 (pre-SPX I think) bindings. They need some TLC: two core shots and a crack on a sidewall. They're obviously tanks and appear to be intact, but need the right set of hands to bring back to life. $85 shipped?

That's correct, but there was some kind of import/distribution snafu that kept them in a warehouse until about 2017. Anybody know of someone actually getting a pair in 2012? They were billed as Stockli's first specifically designed powder ski. A fairly mellow flex and a sidecut of 30 meters. I've never seen a pair except in the 192 length.

So i've got it in my head that i need a pair of these. Specifically looking for the 201cm length, >100mm width. Any of you connoisseurs know what year(s) i should be looking for- 2011, 2014?

Those of you who have owned/skied them- I really love my explosivs and LP's but looking for something longer/wider. More similar to my 198cm RC112. Is a big-ass stormrider the ski i want?

TIA

How are you liking them? I agree with that dudes friend these are the greatest skis ever made I have the 195cm one. Went to Fernie a few weeks back and there was no snow so brought my HL R99 Comp. In Tahoe now with heavy crud fresh and the Stockli Stormrider Pros are amazing. 3rd year on them but first trip which they've had a fitting boot I got my new Mach 1 130 LVs dialed in enough to fly with couldn't bring them to Fernie and I was swimming in my old cochise 120s on your steeps.

Anyone know if Stockli plans to ever make a free ride ski like this again? Heard the new Stormriders are very whippy. Wouldn't think twice about a 105-110 metal laminate Stockli.

2014, in my opinion. My buddy was (still is?) a Stockli dealer for many years and he believes this was the pinnacle. Comes in a 201.

I'm getting old (am old, whatever) I got a pair of those 201s pre-covid because I sell Stockli and our rep was retiring and cleaning his garage out. I don't claim to be the greatest skier in the world but I can get around, I like(d) Legend Pro Riders/Corvus/Shiro/Big Dump etc.
Other than super-g or DH skis I don't think I've been on a ski that accelerated that fast when the tips were pointed downhill/fall line. In my case terrifyingly so. I'm 5'9" 160-170lbs and felt like Wile E Coyote strapped on a rocket. The days of enjoying or being able to use something like that are long gone I guess. I gave them to one of my staff that was young dumb and full of cum as they say. He thought they were best thing in the history of the world.

Same here. I am not worthy at all. There was no neutering of some of those Stormriders back then, those skis were all business.

If ski companies didn't make new skis every year I wouldn't have to get new skis every year.

Have a pair of 192 Stormrider 95s, same vintage as the 110TT, the green, black, and white ones. This is my second go around with them, found a pair new in wrapper end of last season, couple runs on them, but they're not going to get used, one mount and mint, 200. I'll get around to listing in gear swap but figured I'd mention here.

I've got a 188 Scot Schmidt Pro I'm moving on from, just never gets skied. '06 version, 89mm waist, very low miles, one mount for pivots @327 on the line. They are in exceptionally good shape, and cheap. PM for pics.

So I just got some 2021 184 Stormrider 88s mounted up and they feel neutered, bit soft, too light, 1800 grams a ski. I'm into that quiet damp feel though, but want it in a more substantial ski. Meesta, I might have to take you up on those 192 95s.

According to the 2014 catalog, the Stormrider Pro 201s y'all are raving about are 2700 grams a ski. Beef. Make my 2007 192 Moment Garbones sound weak.

They didn't sing to me either. Not as much pop as my MX98's. I still grab them occasionally.

OG Stormrider Give-Away

Dominique Perret signature Pro Model 204 mm length Stormriders, still in very good shape. I aged out on usings these a few years back. Tip to tail camber, triple layer titanal, 74 mm waist. Pette was an original badass skier. Check Wikipedia. Held highest cliff jump record, 211 kph speed run at Portillo, one day heli ski vertical record, and did many more things us mere mortal skiers are not capable of. Not sure, but these might be the first Stormrider model. Saw a promo video of him wearing these skis sitting on the skid of a ski plane coming in for a landing. When it was about to hit the snow he stepped off and skied away. Did the same in reverse at the end of the movie. His love was skiing fast in any snow condition and this ski was his tool of choice. Do not want to hassle with shippiing so I will give these away to anyone who will pick them up in Bend, Oregon. In case of multiple offers a good bottle of dark rum is the tie breaker. PM me if this strikes your fancy.
