    Hi Stormriders,

I'm selling my pair - a 175cm x 95mm ski. $500. Ski as advertised. Burly, incredibly, buttery smooth. Locked in. Steezy AF with the metal topsheet.

Mounted with STH2 at 298mm. Good condition.

Need these gone within a week.

For the wind affected, some new snow, most mid winter days at Jackson. Want something that can slip turns in steeps and variable snow but be stable enough to race the tram. Am I on the right track? Looks like a lot of tip rocker, these 186s long enough?

Edit: lots of folks use the BMX 105 for this but more recently the ZX 108, Peak 104 or 110, Blank. But there Stockli is calling me
I haven't tried the 105's but briefly owned some 2017 183 Stormrider 107's for similar reasons fwiw. (the 105 replaced the 107 in 2018). I liked them, especially in softer crud/powder but I found I preferred my MX98s in almost every condition. Both skis were smooth but had different snow feel. Like a lot of modern Stormriders, the tips were too soft for me too. The Stocklis were just not very rewarding, especially on groomed or skied off sections. They did have demo bindings which undoubtably had an effect but they allowed me to use the 105's three-mount-point system. I've tried to slot several skis in the 105-108 slot but have pretty much given up on it.

Am I the only one that skis the 88s?
    I'm considering an upgrade...

I like the stormriders for night skiing at Skibowl upper bowl. It rains during the day and freezes during the night. The "giant metal skis" obliterate the chop, tho, so sometimes I'm the only one up there, and I like that.

Obligatory pic, right? Excuse how effed up they are. My baby girls are waterlogged to shit and hanging by a thread.

After I snapped one, I JB welded it back together and tried to sand them into mirrors for a wall decoration... but then I just kept skiing them instead [emoji51]

All things considered, they honestly still ski kinda great, and I'm just chillin' having fun, so I'm not really having any problems.

Picked up these stockli alanghi stormriders for next to nothing this week. They are in near prefect shape never mind being from 2007(?).

    188 122-89-112 r26.8

Not sure if it's a unique model or just a different finish on something like an xxl from the same period. In any case can't wait to get some fresh wax and try them out. Poster not included. Click image for larger version.

    Sweet!

They have the same tip garnish as the XXLs and Scot Schmidt Pros.
I had both and they were great, but was seriously overgunned on my XXL @194cm.

XXLs were 75mm at the waist IIRC.

Basically a SS Pro from that era. They’re quiet, stiff and fast. I don’t like skiing mine(188 SS
Pros) if there’s other people on the groomers.

This is TGR, bro. You're the only one that skis any type of 88 width ski.

Just kidding haha but couldn't resist.

Oh shit. Never thought I'd see another pair of those.

It's a SS Pro/XXXL, exact same ski different topsheet. If you're not gonna use them, they could get not used at my house too.

Yeah these tip garnish are kinda gimmicky and a throwback to the era. Looks like they are drilled through.

Gotcha. Yes looks like they all have the same dims.
They hand flex quite a bit stiffer than the dp pros and sr95 I have.

I’ll be using them! I’ve been on the lookout for these or something like an mx88s for a while. Happy to have found them otherwise I’d probably be in for a heritage lab r87.

I used to tell people on the lift who asked what they were that they were powder finders.

I am joining the club - just bought these from Cascade Luke. I am hopeful that I gel with this vintage. Wish me luck once the flakes start flying!

A bit softer than the mx88 and straighter in the tip, which is a good thing. They only pressed 1,000 pr of those Alinghis, though I think they might have made them for two years. Still a pretty rare ski.

I'm still on my second pair of '06 SS Pros, they're a very special ski. Have fun on those.

Not Stormriders, but new groomer zoomers. 176cm Laser GS. Haven’t had a ski like this in over a decade.

I maybe dig speed as much as powder - speed easier to come by in my climate - so love the encouragement. Lotus 120, ON3P Wren (multiple), Wizard Expolsivs, Kastle BMX 105 HPs and Heritage Lab AM 99s are skis I have that I love to rock at speed so excited to be adding yet another speed oriented ski to the arsenal. Been Stockli curious for a decade +

Got me a late birthday/early xmass gift at a very attractive price:

Previous owners had ten days on them at most. Sidewalls look untouched. The edges are thick! Like FIS SL skis thick.

I demoed this or a shorter version two winters ago. Stoked!

Just put up my 2019 105s in gear swap if any interest. Nice powerful ski, just find it jittery when not on edge. Not the tram ski I was looking for unfort but really smooth when you lay them over

You’ll love them. I picked up a pair of the same size and vintage a couple years ago off a demo rack. It’s a great low tide ski. I teach on them and they can do any turn. Also, they are my camouflage and let me bend in with snobby full time ski instructors while I do my penance and my 15 shifts to get ski passes for the family.
