base is 5 days at snowbird, no alta. full pass is 7 days alta/bird. i have skied at both places and alta gets so much love but I have had better days at snowbird. less traversing and i have had some good times at mineral basin. i found a full unopened beer in the snow once.
as for blackout dates, the price difference is too much for my personal situation/budget. I have a pass at my home mountain and ski/work there on the high holidays. or tour. good to hear it's not overrun.
I am on the fence about ikon at all... it's not just the pass but the additional $ for travel/beers but I know I'll probably just get it anyways.

Price jump will happen in April. Not yet disclosed afak

Group buy is open. Please send me a PM before purchase so you can help a Maggot this year. If you are not renewing you may be one of those maggots who gets a little help.

Btw - I've no need for a full Ikon. I just can't seem to get away to travel in the winter. Too busy at home w family. Not a terrible thing to tie you down.

Can anyone tell me when the earliest I could expect to receive a pass if I buy it in the spring? My youngest has aged out of the kids pass and does not really enjoy skiing until after the spring break crowds and I-70 traffic are gone. I may skip the season pass for next season, buy a buddy pass if he really wants to ski before spring break and buy a season pass early next spring that will allow spring skiing next season and the next.

I think I get your question.

Buy your 25/26 Ikon Pass today to unlock access to spring skiing at up to 17 destinations, with immediate access at select mountains.

Pro-tip: upgrade from an Ikon Base Pass and kick-start spring skiing 1 week earlier.

    Immediate Access Includes:

Big Bear Mountain Resort (Bear Mountain, Snow Summit)
    Blue Mountain, Canada
    Crystal (Ikon Pass only)
    Schweitzer (Ikon Pass only)
    Snowshoe
    Snow Valley
    Solitude
    Stratton
    Sugarbush
On March 31, access expands for 25/26 Ikon Pass holders to include:

    June Mountain
    Mammoth Mountain
    Tremblant
    Palisades Tahoe
    Winter Park
    Arapahoe Basin
    Deer Valley
    Steamboat
On April 7, access expands for 25/26 Ikon Base Pass holders to include:

    June Mountain
    Mammoth Mountain
    Tremblant
    Palisades Tahoe
    Winter Park
    Steamboat
Note: For new pass holders wishing to drop in on the good stuff this spring, please know that you will need to pick up your pass at the spring destination you are planning to visit.

At least at Winter Park, you can buy your IKON at the ticket office so the short answer is "no need to wait for the pass in the mail" if that is even what you are asking.

Lets see how this post looks with quotes and links and so on!

Does anyone know if the spring access counts toward your total day count? In other words, if you get five days at a certain resort, do any days used in spring count toward that count for 25-26?</p>

Spring days don't count against next seasons total is my understanding

All the spring days are at unlimited mtns. You can't use 5/7 days mtns this spring.

You sure about that? There's a post upthread that says several mountains will expand to base pass holders on 4/7.

Deer Valley which is on the spring list is limited to 7-days. Not sure if spring days used this season subtract from next season, but I wouldn't be surprised. Don't care enough to call, but I would do that if I was going to burn a day at DV in spring conditions and wanted to max my days next season.

From the Ikon webiste: Days are not deducted from your 25/26 winter access.

Steamboat also gets spring access for base pass holders and is not an unlimited mountain. But again, the days don't count to next year's limit.
