I've had a couple fun skitching sessions most in my younger days (and usually involving alcohol)
Just saw the police have been cracking down on it with all the snow in metro areas
this guy got skitched by a lamborghini- fanceee!
whatchoo got?

I'm more into skootching:
skitchin' was the primary winter sport on the west side of Chicago in the 70s.
the gold standard was getting a skitch off the bumper of a squad car. We'd wait between parked cars and jump out to grab onto bumper for days after big snowstorms, as certain neighborhoods and streets got plowed dead last, every time.
good memories!
It's been snowing hard all day up here in north Idaho. May have to go find some places around town to ski before the big powder day tmrw. Skitching might just be it
Make money. Buy toys.
Skitching gone bad.

Nobody could afford skis in the neighborhood I grew up in. We did more skeetching. The gold standard was the back of the bus all the way to school.
Grabbing directly onto bumpers and sliding on your boots was called 'Hooky Bobbin' in PDX where i grew up.
Grew up skitching in Minnesota on winter weekend nights. Many fun times with friends. Then there was the guy who hit a patch of pavement, face planted into the road, and ground his front teeth halfway down to the gums.
I was sketching a bus in Aspen in the in the 70’s. A cop saw me, called me out.
I ran and hid underneath a parked car. He found me, dragged me out by my ankles and washed my face with snow.
I rode up the Gondi with him today and we laughed about it.
We had some good adventures skitching back in the day. We spent all winter (well also all spring, summer and fall) outside getting fucked up and fucking around so we got creative with shit. Don't try skitching off the back of a car doing donuts unless you have skillz is one lesson I can share.
Saw the title and flashed back to my youth in the '70's. One of the funner, stupeder things I did back then
A more popular activity among me and my friends was throwing snowballs at cars from a good hiding place. We never tired of that. Got caught a couple times and tossed around by angry dudes...the whole thing was a great adrenaline rush.
Yeah hooky bobbin was another name for it that I never heard until I moved away from MN. I laughed at that it sounded so funny.
I remember once my mom had bought me new gloves and I took them out skitching. Never forget the feeling I had when I let go of a bumper and my new gloves came off, stuck between the fender and the bumper, and drove away forever. Served me right I guess. How to explain this to mom...?
Super fun field skitching and in the Bolton parking lots behind trucks back in the 90's on Thursday nights.. only a 'few' close calls with cars and hard snowbanks. Tons of fun. Shenanigans.
After a full day of ripping the hill, we went to the hardware store for some rope and took a couple of laps around the neighbourhood. The best part was carving pow turns on front lawns, just make sure you don't end up on the wrong side of a pole!
a dude we grew up with posted on facebook recently about being the skitching champion.it started a huge thread of all the stories of our old neighborhood and all the mayhem that went on. that dude is a senator now, kind of a marky mark story. sad that kids don't do that stuff much anymore. bumpers aren't so easy to grab onto anymore. maybe there's a video game " Skitchin' ".
