    M-Pro 108, 192cm for the win!

The x106 were a previous favorite so I think these are gonna shred!

Jump to 2:40 for actual unboxing, unless you want random tile lesson

The Mpro has been out for a year now. A lot of us have been on it and it is a great ski. Plenty of reviews in here on it as well. Totally different ski than the x106, like not even similar and I really liked the x106, the Mfree108 is a better ski than the x106 as well. The 192 pro is also 110 underfoot. Enjoy them.

Managed to get a pair of these https://www.dynastar.com/product/mvertical-88-fteam from up in Can-land (none in US). Been looking for a new spring/long distance/ski-mtn ski... pretty confident they'll thread the needle on weight and ski-ability. Was cool to see Vivien on the 99 waist version on Cody's Polar Star episode.

Any recommendation on where to mount the Mpro 108? Pro rider at +1 and m free 108 at +2 were the sweet spots for me. Ex racer so I like driving the shovels typically but I have been enjoying this new ‘progressive’ style of slashing around and getting loose

SkiAlper really liked the vertical line up from Dynastar. They didn't look at the 88-FT but I have to imagine it's similar.

What length? TAFKALVS and myself liked that ski at +1. I ski fairly upright boots and skied them on the line and +1. I much preferred the +1. I liked that I could stand more neutral yet get on the cuffs and tips if wanted at +1. The line had me feeling like I couldn’t press the tips enough unless driving them harder.

I like +1 cm forward of the line. I have skied them both on the line and +1.

How do they compare to Katana 108s?

I got K108s to be easier going Pro Riders, which I think they do a good job at

I have not skied the k108 at all. What I can tell you is the pro 108 can be skied as hard as the outgoing 105 but it actually floats and is not all serious business all the time.

They sound similar. Hopefully I can compare both this season.

Anyone has experience or interest in the M-Cross 88?

Looks like a more directional and stronger Black Crows Mirus Cor and Armada Stranger, or a more versatile Line Blade

Finally got out on these things for a proper shred session... they are pretty awesome!

Got them up to what seems to be their preferred cruising speed at 2:20 and 8:30, but as you can see they still are quite nimble in the tight stuff too. Cant wait to get them on some bigger slopes asap!

Question for those with historical memory: what did Cham 2.0 morphed into or did it just die? Did it become m-free or menace?

    Cham -> Legend X -> M-Pro (I think).

In other news, I talked to the Dynastar rep the other day. Next year, the M-Pro line sees the addition of a 115 width ski and the M-Free 108 gets a new layup that should result in a more supportive tail but keep the same shape. Might get a bit lighter too (bummer).

Any updates on the mfree118? I’d really like to see that ski get the rocker/shape of the mfree108 and come in a 192.

Unfortunately, what I got from our conversation was that the MF118 is being nixed and "becoming" the M-Pro 115. Didn't get much info on the shape of this ski. I imagine it'll be a bit of a departure from the traditional shape of the Pro line and feature a more freestyle focused shape but with some sort of metal laminate. Could be a killer ski.

The looseness of the tail and weight of the ski are two aspects of what makes it work so well. Let me guess, those Euro ski engineers probably think those are both problem areas.

I could see a more supportive tail helping out in firm conditions, but also take away from the playfulness in deep snow.

That 116 with some metal does sound interesting.

Makes sense. I’m sure the 115 will be a sweet ski if the shape splits the difference between a free108 and pro108 with a pro layup. Both of those skis float in pow freakishly well for their width, so can only imagine a a wider version.

Lighter Mfree 108 is a bad idea. Their weight is ideal, I would like then a little heavier, but they are great weight wise as is.
This lighter resort gear trend needs to die in a fucking raging fire!
