Also to be fair, the 182 is listed by Dynastar at 108mm underfoot, the big boys get the 2mm bump up to 110. Who knows what marketing hokum goes into choosing which waist width to slap on the ski... Thanks for posting the rocker pic, they really do look dialed.

They are very dialed. More business than the Mfree. They charge chop more smoothly and have a little more stable landing platform. Not as loose as the Mfree but still decently loose. Great edge hold on firm. Float really well. Definitely more damp than the Free.
If a guy has a more serious style then the Mpro is the ticket. More playful style, Mfree. I like them both and could own both but I have another charger in the 110 slot, Stockli.

Just copped a pair of mfree 108 from Corbetts for 380 USD. Got them in 192, wish me luck.

It's not the marketing people, it's usually someone on the product side who decides. When a ski scales up or down according to length (a practice that makes more sense than keeping the same tip/waist/tail dimensions for the entire size run), they pick a size at random (often the size they think will sell the best) and call that waist dimension the "width" . . .

Probably going to sell a 182 mf108 and 179 mf99. Both mounted 1x w/attacks at 285. 108’s are minty, it’s hardly snowed in a meaningful way here since I got them. Going to get something else in hopes of changing our pattern.

Way more Mfree than Mpro. Switched up the core to a new poplar/PU blend unlike the paulownia/PU the 99 used. Around 1500 grams per ski in the 187 size, which sounds fantastic. The athletes I talked to were very excited for it, as many have been dragging 192 M-frees on big days these past two season.

It would have been on my short list to fill my 110ish underfoot pow touring slot if I hadn't borked my leg up. I will be curious to follow this thread as folks who like the 192 MFree get on it this season.

Oh, I know. I think it's ridiculous. Everyone who sees them thinks - Marble.

For real? I did not even know that was a thing. Of course that changes everything, nihon forest des is totally sugoi and I need to get me some so I don't miss out on cool Japanese stuff.
All joking aside, they had that Bec special not so long ago, I liked that.
It shouldn't matter tho, if they ski well then looks don't mean much.

That sounds really promising, hopefully there are some decent info/reviews on them after they come out. My old clapped out 184 Mythics are one of my fav touring skis of all time. They ski way above their weight.

If I had to pick just one ski to go on a tour of unknown vert, distance, conditions, etc... It would be the mythic. It just does so many things so well. If they could transcribe some of that magic to the 108, it could be a very special ski.

Totally agree. They are so easy to ski but also hold up well to being pushed hard (as hard as you can push with light touring boots at least). They rail turns and float fresh snow, all for a scant weight! Mine are 1760g with Dynafit TLT Speed 12 bindings. Unbelievable performance for the weight. Frustrating that Dynastar didn't keep them in their line up for longer!

    Some advice, please.

Finally mounting my 184 Aurelien Ducroz LPs, after they've been languishing in a friends attic in Denmark for 4 years. On the line, as the good lord intended, or +1?

    My BSL is 325mm, and I'm 6'1 x 180.

I'm a bit bigger than you (6'4"/205) but like the 192s on the line. Prefer a traditional feel to a ski. They don't float all that great, I wouldn't see +1 as being particularly detrimental to performance.

Fwiw, I'm used to the 192s. These will be for ripping around on spring snow while I rehab my ruptured hamstring. Nimbleness more important than float.

I always liked the 192s better at +1, but that's not helpful for the 184s. Agree with previous posters. Line is fine. Probably.
