Strap off is legit. I like it a lot. For touring I just decouple the shin strap and put it in walk mode and its more than enough ROM for me.

Does anyone have a comparison between this boot and the Cochise? Curious more about fit than how it skis, but that comparison is welcome as well. Skinny legs here, so cuff comparison would be cool. And anyone throw a GFT in these?

How are the sizes? I got a little confused by the size charts. I have been skiing 28.5 boots for a long time and was planning on just going for the 28.5 Roxa but after reading the size chart I got a bit worried that I need to go bigger. My feet are 287-288mm. My current Salomons in 28.5 works very well with Intuition pro tour liners. So the question is probably if my Salomon shell is actually bigger than the Roxa shell because of where the half sizes split?

I’ve had 28.5 Salomons and the Roxa 28.5 fits just a bit snugger. It’s probably the last shape not the length and the difference between Cabrio and overlap. The Roxas fit perfectly if you’re coming from a Krypton/Lupo

I'm still very happy with the plastic shim forward lean mod, but it means that I can't use the DRI thingy to stiffen up the boot anymore because it starts off flexed too far forward. Anyone modified it to work with more forward lean? It seems like grinding a little plastic off each side would work, but it also seems like a pain in the ass. This years version of the boot looks like it essentially has the forward lean mod built in (and made out of metal) which is cool. I'm wondering how/if they addressed this issue with the DRI

One pair in 29.5 at Ski Base, Fernie B.C. 400. Cdn is a deal in U.S. funds. I scored a pair so they're legit. Some other nice stuff too & over 99$ ships free. Great deal for the right feet! https://www.skibase.com/roxa-r3-130-...w-wl-boot.html

if you're in Fernie webland try this https://www.theguideshut.ca/r3-130-ti-ir.html
I'll go 360$ plus the tax, and free shipping. It's our last pair.

I've had my eye on a pair of Roxa boots for a while and just found the Element 120 for $299 CAD (at Skibase.com from a couple of posts up and they still have some pairs left). Ideally, I'd have found a 130, but couldn't pass those up at that price. Assume I can swap out the tongue for a 130? From the pictures, it looks like the Element has a pretty low cuff?

Roxas are bizarrely very hard to come by here. I wanted to try out the rfit 130, but can't find any shop around innsbruck that has them. They seem to have cornered the rental market in all the smaller ski resorts though. Been interesting following up their dealer list in the area. A lot of the one shop rental places have roxa boots.
If someone knows of a place here that has them, let me know please. Weired as it's not like Italy is miles away.

First impression of the Element 120s is that they feel really cheap. I guess it's the lightweight plastic(they're very light), but they don't have that burly ski boot feel that I've been accustomed to. I'm a lot more gentle handling these as they feel like they'll shatter if I drop or mishandle them.
I was ready to throw these things in the trash after my first run until I realized they were default set in soft mode. Switched over to hard mode and it turns out I do know how to ski. After 15 years riding Krpytons, I switched over to a 4-buckle (Lange Shadow 130) this year and my skiing has felt slightly off all season. Couldn't quite put my finger on why, so I've been anxious to get back into a 3-piece and see if that was the problem. Turns out it was.
Has anyone messed around with the forward lean on these? I did get thrown back seat once or twice - an unfamiliar feeling for me - and not sure if that's just getting used to the new boot or they need some adjustments.
Looking into a stiffer tongue and it looks like the one Roxa sells is adjustable 115/120/30. Are all the tongues adjustable or just the aftermarket ones?

I emailed Roxa and got some of these questions answered. Amazing concept, right?

For future reference: ELEMENT 130 and 120 both feature the stiffest ‘A’ flex Tongue. So, the way to increase stiffness on ELEMENT 120 isn’t with a different Tongue.

A piece we call the Dynamic Response Insert (DRI) separates a 130 from 120. Black horseshoe shaped piece.

We have DRI’s available which can be installed, but it’s an involved process including separating the boot shell/cuff, drilling, etc.
