Fuck I just watched it tonight. Best movie ever. I only allow myself to watch it 1-2x per year. Beginning of season and end of season. I dont want it to get “old”..

Makes me want to find a nice woman and settle down. Fo realz.

You have to find a woman who loves you, a woman you respect, a woman you can talk about anything with, a woman who makes you laugh. Then you have to make sure none of them meet.

or maybe you guys aren't TJ enough to win that kinda girl

But I did just have a stroke of genius- paging liv2ski - he has a crabby daughter that is probably around your age and I imagine she/ the family must ski since he frequents a ski forum.

ah young lady, you missed that chapter in TGR lore. TJ was a guy who had cancer and beat it and then faded away or died... he skied jay and mount tremblant. He went out west after beating cancer?

anybody remember what happened to TJ?

The blurred Dex TJ triangle was hilarous. am i remembering correctly?

was TJ our first suicidal poster?

I just searched TJ and only had one hit for a post of his. Seems his history is basically gone. He and Plakespear seemed to be friendly so after Plakespear died (wow, close to ten years ago, now), TJ just kind of disappeared. If I recall, I think TJ is who announced Plakespear's passing but that seems to be gone. Maybe someone else has better recall on all that.

I represented a long-time family law attorney in a bar disciplinary matter* who said that, in her experience, the thing that triggered the most divorces was a home remodeling project.

*The disciplinary proceeding and my representation are matters of public record, so I am free to disclose this.

Well... when your partner insists on dark cherry for kitchen cabinets with white subway tile backsplash in a herringbone pattern and contrasting grout could you blame a person?

Ha ha. She had a persuasive theory: First, both spouses had different visions of the finished product, each of which was seldom grounded in reality, thus the inevitable resulting disappointment as the project developed. Second, one or both spouses went into the project believing that the remodel would yield happiness or increased happiness, thus leveraging their expectations, which were dashed without exception. Third, whatever money issue were there got worse.

The lesson confirms 2 of my 3 keys to happiness: 1. low expectations; 2. low overhead
