Issues with Intuition wrap liner rubbing.

As the thread name suggests I am having a huge issue with my intuition wrap liner rubbing a blister on my shin where the inside wrap ends. I get a perfect little crescent moon blister (same shape as edge of liner) only for my left boot, however it has been expanded a touch to fit my odd shaped foot left foot. It was fine till the boot was expanded but that only happened (so I'm told) in the toe box area, so my local shop was a bit stumped with the blister...

Has anyone else experienced this with wrap liners?

I ask, as I am looking at the Dalbello Panterra (I have wide feet) and would love the 130 ID but due to this issue may have to settle for the 120. Not my first choice.

re-heat the liner where it is rubbing and try again?

the folds of the liner are done up the correct way?

    fold in the sock?

long underwear pulled out of the boot?

    removed your ankle bracelet?

How was the liner heated? If they just used heat stax (a black box with what looks like exhaust pipes sticking out of it, or a box hanging on the wall with pipes coming out of it) then the wrap portion of the cuff didn't mold and the liner edge is still thick. Have them heated in an oven instead, the edge will thin out and be less prominent. Alternately you can heat it gently with a heat gun and clamp it (two 3mm scrapers and a pair of vise grips works well). As XXX-er says, the medial (inner side) always goes under - mold them that way and always put them on that way.

On the first fitting it was done in the box. Have had these boots for 2 years and only now has it started to rub, which is why it stumped the shop guys. I mentioned to re-mold it but they said after the amount I have skied it wouldn't make a difference now.

What everyone else has offered + I've found you can get a nice "refresh" by tossing em into a high end washing machine on the "sanitize" cycle. Try this & then repeat steps offered above.

I'll often scout swaps for "dead boots" for friends & bring em back to life this way.

If this is now a "hot spot for you..." remold with a couple of Bandaids over the spot.
